I ordered this desk because I wanted the legs only to install using the smaller "return" section of my current desk. The desk top of my return and the desk were nearly identical, and the legs installed fairly simply with a drill, a little know-how, and patience in measuring and checking. The adjustable height works great, it's pretty quiet, and the custom stops are nice and repeatable. The "play" in the height is about 1/8" to 1/4" so it's difficult to get it dialed in any closer but it's worked fine for me. I'm able to have a preset which matches the height of the larger desk section and when it's there the desk and return look like their one desk attached together (as it was before I installed the legs). I'm glad I didn't need the desk top though which came in the order, as the desk top material is rough enough that you can't write on a piece of paper directly on the desk. You'd need some kind of desk caddy or use a pad of paper or something similar. The accessories (like the under-desk cord organizer and the tray that attaches to the back) are pretty cheap as well. The legs are great and worth the money; I'm very pleased and my back is happier with me that I'm not slouched over all day now.

well everything is amazing I stand from time to time it helps with my ergonomics all I will say do is when you plug it into the wall the light shows it providing power and working I would recommend putting a tape over it if you have it in your room since it will light up ur room just by a bit and could be very annoying but other than that this desk is peak for the budget I would recommend the size I got since its enough for a atx pc a 24inch monitor mic stand and enough to have my laptop on the side or even a small square monitor enough space for keyboard and mouse to move around comftorble if you are GAMING so ye I would recommend to anyone

I felt a bit like I was taking a chance by ordering this desk, however, I am glad that I did. A few of the reviews alerted me to a few things, so I was prepared. The desk was packaged exceedingly well and none of the parts were damaged. (My cat approves of this box btw. 11/10, would box again.) Yes, the top is in two pieces. Yes it is a wood composite. I feel like if you want a solid piece of wood, then you need to purchase a desk from a retailer such as Uplift. This is not that desk, but for what it is, this desk does a good job. I really feel like the price you're paying here on amazon is for the dual motors and the build quality of the frame of the desk. All of the metal parts of this desk are serious and well made. Regarding construction, I had no issues whatsoever. Another reviewer stated that he had accidentally popped the top of the press board by over torquing the screws. When I was putting it together, I was hypercritical of all pieces screwed into the top. I had a thought though about why this might be happening to people. In the instruction booklet, it says you will need a drill. No. You definitely do NOT need a drill and if you use a drill on this desk I guarantee that you will over torque the screws and pop the press board. Ignore that you saw the drill icon, you only need a screwdriver and common sense. What I did was screw the screws in the pressboard about half way in. Then I kept tightening them just enough that my partner and I were able to carefully stand the desk up. Then, I sat underneath the desk with backlight and flashlight and tightened all of the screws carefully. I kept my hand on top of the desk to try and feel if I was tightening too much. Honestly? I took it to an extreme because I was so worried about messing it up. When it was all said and done, I could have easily tightened each screw to hand tightness and been totally fine. I didn't pop a single spot on the top of the desk. That said, the top of the desk is still in two pieces. No, it isn't completely flush, but the only spot that it is really noticeable is off to the side. I ordered a large mousepad that will cover nearly the whole top of the desk. The height difference is just barely noticeable through my older thin mouse pad. Not sure how the thicker one will do. Mechanism. So far so good. Didn't have any issues setting up controls. It moves easily and quietly so far. Fingers crossed that it stays that way!

I previously built my own desk using a butcher block countertop piece and then buying the height adjustable legs separate. Wood has increased in price since then so this desk saved me $100 compared to if I did my previous desk build. This desktop is two separate pieces held together by metal support beams on either side of the desk and screws running down the middle. Regardless, the desk feels sturdy during normal use. However, I would not sit on this desk on the edge of center. You will notice some bending with marginal body weight placed on the edge of center of the desk. It's an excellent desk for the price.
