Description

Ryan Shea has sworn off men. After her last relationship imploded in front of her eyes, she decides to take a break from swimming in the dating pool … possibly forever. The brilliant computer whiz loses her brain when it comes to love, and jumping feet first burns her every time. Without a home, or much of a clue where life is headed, taking a trip back to the small town of Fawn Hill to stay with her best friend seems like the only option. Except it puts Ryan directly in the path of the one man she can’t fall for. Fletcher Nash reminds her too much of the dark past she’s always run from; his demons are the things of her nightmares. And it’s no help that, when he looks at her, she feels as if Fletcher is the one person who truly understands. Fletcher Nash vowed not to fall in lust. Five years of sobriety, and he hasn’t broken the chastity promise yet. Not that it had to keep for this long … he’s well over the normal year addicts are told not to get involved. But, aside from a busy schedule and trying to chase his dream of becoming a full-time artist, he has no intentions of committing to a woman until she is the one. Why is it, then, that sassy, city girl Ryan Shea comes dangerously close to resembling the exact woman he could break that promise for? Like sand through his fingers, there is no way she’ll stay put … but his heart just won’t listen. They pledged not to love anyone until it was the real thing. So what happens when two people terrified of falling head-over-heels, actually do? Read more

  • Fantastic Ending for the Nash Brother's Series!
Ryan Shea has had a tough life, and a tough go of it with relationships, with her last one ending rather dramatically. She’s decided that she is swearing off men for a while. She knows she jumps head first into relationships, so she’s decided to focus on herself. Fletcher Nash is the baby in his family, and a recovering addict. He’s five years into his sobriety and he vowed to never fall in lust again. He’s working hard and fighting his battle to remain sober every day. When Ryan comes to town to stay with her best friend Presley, the two are thrown back together. The few times they’ve been around each other before, there has always been a pull that they have both tried to avoid. As they spend more time together, it is hard to deny that pull, but as they navigate through their budding relationship, are either ready for this to be more? And can Ryan separate her past from her future? I didn’t think I would love a Nash brother as much as I loved Forrest, but Fletcher just took the top spot. This book wasn’t just about two people falling in love, this book was about a man fighting addiction and a woman trying to overcome her past. Hands down one of the most amazing books I’ve read in a while. I love that Carrie didn’t shy away from talking about addiction and how debilitating it can be even when you are 5 years sober. She takes a topic that can be dark, and just writes about it in a way that makes it more eye opening to people who don’t suffer. I’ve been rooting for Ryan and Fletcher from the very first book in this series, and I’m so glad that they got their happily ever after! Well done Carrie, I don’t think I could have asked for a better ending to this series! ... show more

  • Finally Fletcher's Story!
In the last book of the Nash Brothers Series, we finally get Fletcher's story, which I've been waiting for forever! Fletcher, a recovering alcoholic, finally has his life together. He has a somewhat good job, and his woodworking business is starting to take off. He's been sober for five years, and he's ready to spread his wings and finally move out on his own. Everything seems to be going right for him, until Ryan, Presley's best friend moves to town for a while, and he becomes tempted by her and the draw he has towards her. Ryan comes to Fawn Hill after another break up, and just needs some time to figure out what she wants to do next. She doesn't want to get involved with anyone anytime soon, but as soon as she sees Fletcher again, she knows it's going to be hard to stay away from the youngest Nash brother. Both of these characters are insanely attracted to one another, but at first refuse to acknowledge it. Ryan because she is trying to work on herself, and Fletcher because of a promise he made to himself that he wouldn't get involved with anyone unless they were the one, but when push comes to shove they can't seem to stay away from one another and things definitely get interesting. Fletcher is is very open with his demons and his past, not wanting Ryan to be surprised about anything when it comes to him, but Ryan on the other hand keeps things hidden about her demons and the things that haunt her and this causes some problems between them, and it drove me nuts! Watching these two fall in love, and their relationship progress was a fun, yet very angsty ride. This was a slow burn romance for the majority of the book. A will they or won't they for the first part. Ryan was very skiddish, and Fletcher was scared, but once they started it was beautiful, but there were still so many hiccups along the way for both of them. Dealing with Ryan's past, and Fletcher's sobriety was difficult for them, and took both of them a while to get through before they could truly figure out how they could be together. This book was a great read, and a beautiful ending to the series. Even though it was a stand alone, I loved getting to see the other brother and their wives and seeing how they were doing as well. I adored seeing how much Fletcher has grown since we first met him in earlier books and I loved seeing him get his HEA! If you're wanting an angsty romance, I highly suggest picking up Falter today! ... show more

  • will own you
Falter will just own you. This is Fletcher's book. He is the most troubled of the Nash brothers and works hard to overcome his addiction. Fletcher is a sweetheart, and you really get why he gets frustrated at times with his brothers. Ryan is a tough cookie and hasn't had it easy in life. She has dealt with her mother's addiction all her life. You get why she is the way she is when it comes to Fletcher. You cannot deny the chemistry between Fletcher and Ryan. They make so much sense together and once they give in Ryan and Fletcher will just fill your heart up. I loved every moment of this one. I still cannot pick my favorite Nash brother since they are all equally amazing. If you haven't had a chance to read the Nash Brothers series yet, then you really need to. ... show more

  • Review: Nash Brothers 4: Falter
Falter by Carrie Aarons is the fourth book in her Nash Brothers series. A story of love least expected from two of the unlikeliest people. Fletcher Nash has been sober for five years. It's a great accomplishment and something he battles with daily. An unintentional consequence of his five years of sobriety is his five years of celibacy. Having spent his drunken and drugged out years in a haze, he can't remember most of his previous partners, at all. So with his sobriety came the promise that the next person would be his forever person. Ryan Shea has been a frequent visitor to Fawn Hill since her best friend moved there years ago (see Fleeting) and with her visits she has come to know the Nash brothers quite well. Fletcher is an enigma to her - hot, unattached, mysterious, artistic. But she has sworn off men. She is done with becoming whatever the men in her life expect from her, molding herself to fit their best image. She is done with love and done with men. The next one will be THE ONE. Emotional and gritty - Fletcher's story does NOT shy away from the ugliness of addiction. It deals with it head on and with a quiet honesty that is perfectly portrayed by Fletcher's character. Well-written and well-paced, this Nash Brothers series has made Carrie Aarons a must-read author for me. Enjoy! ... show more
