I was excited to try hair removal because I have had skin problems in the past including eczema and shaving always leads to razor burn and ingrown hairs. It's also annoying to have to shave every two days if you don't want to look like a hairy beast. Come winter, I opted for plucking and waxing, and then moved on to sugar waxing. While I liked the results, I didn't like having to wait for the hair to grow to a certain length or the expense of going every 4 weeks. Hair removers came along. After reading tons of articles, watching tons of (chilling) YouTube comments, and reading the reviews, I decided to give this epilator a try. I figured if I tried it for 10 seconds and wanted to throw it out the window, a couple dozen dollars wasn't going to make me feel worthless. Now I am happy to report that I am very happy with the results of my hair removal. For my first wax, I followed the advice to shower and dry off before the wax to open up the hair follicles. I also had an ice pack in case I needed to numb an area before attempting it. I thought the experience was pretty good. Sure, there were some areas that would make me start sweating when I scratched the hairs, but the results were worth it. The first treatment took two hours for the legs alone. I did the treatment while my husband and kids were away and set up my tablet and watched Jimmy Fallon. The hair removal was loud, and since then I've gotten used to listening to podcasts while wearing headphones. Now, I epilate once a week for 30 minutes-1 hour and have started removing armpit hair as well. (I also take an antihistamine to relieve the bumps I got from the first few waxes). It's well worth the investment in time, as the hair that grows back is finer and lighter than before, and my legs are smoother.     • Wonderful home epilator
I had one of these from a different company years ago, but it was a dinosaur compared to this model. I was able to do some tinkering with my armpits and legs before it became obsolete when it cost almost $500 to buy them. I'm 60 now, and while not having to shave my armpits has been great, I've had enough of shaving my legs and paying for a razor every month. I was worried when I bought this one because it cost a lot less than my first one (you get what you pay for, right?). Wrong), but it's so much better than the one I owned a couple years ago. I'm getting leg treatments and the results are so good that I bought another one for my 20-something daughter. Here's some advice from someone who has used two different machines over 20 years: it's addictive, resist the urge to use it every three days, and you have to time it to your hair growth cycle. Don't get discouraged when you see new hair growth, you have a lot of follicles and they grow at different times. You will miss some each time but you will definitely see them next time. In between treatments, gently rub a dry loofah from ankle to knee to help loosen and remove dead hairs. Yes, you do need to shave before treatment, but I only shave once a week. I totally agree with their plan of twice a week for 4 weeks, then once a week for 4 weeks and then as needed.For 20 years I have not maintained my underarms because honestly, they don't need it at all. I have very fair skin and dark hair. Caucasian female, 45 years old, I have been using it 2 times a week for a month. I am very happy with the results so far. Before using this product, I always shaved every three days and after two days I would have visible stubble. Now I hardly ever have to shave because my legs are always smooth and the hair is barely noticeable. I've been trying to find a home remedy for a long time and I'm glad I got this product. The shipping was fast. The buttons are easy to use.The LED cool light effectively eliminates the burning sensation from the light. I have had no problems using the unit on its highest setting. I started out on level 1, went up to level 2 the second time I used it, and have been using it on level 2 ever since. Soon I will be trying it on my arms and underarms. After much research, I purchased this epilator to address the issues I have been having with hair, My leg & bikini hair was ingrown,Shaving was causing more irritation and razor bumps. Waxing is painful like hell. So I gave this epilator a try and I'm so glad I did! With regular use of this epilator, I am hairless with silky smooth skin! I shaved my whole body with it today after my shower, it won't hurt yourself and it's easy to remove all the hair you want to remove. This one only takes two AAA batteries to replace and continues to work without waiting, which is very convenient for me who wants to go out quickly but forgets to charge the epilator, an ideal epilator tool!
