When the compressor went out in my sister's BMW I was happy to find this one because it does not ride well without the air, to say the least. I thought it would be a difficult swap-out, but it was not. Literally it was a drop-in replacement for the stock unit - I think I had to wire maybe 2 cables to skirt a plug junction that wasn't quite matched to my satisfaction. Works great and moves a huge volume of air to the bags. Very happy with how simple this install went.

Let me preface this review with the statement "I do NOT order items that I do not intend to use myself. That said; I am NOT using this on a Bimmer, I installed this on my sons truck that has Air Spring helper bags. He was tired of having to find air every time he changed the load weight on his hot shot truck. This unit is pumping in to a 4 gallon volume tank to help take some strain off of the compressor and it is doing the job just fine. I installed it using the supplied isolation mounts and you can NOT hear/feel it operating at all. Makes sense as its intended use would make quiet a priority lest the "owner" whine about the NOISE. I have no doubt it will work for the advertised applications just fine and it definitely has shown it can take on tasks beyond just that. I DO highly recommend the pump.
