I was concerned these might make too much noise rolling around in the dryer, but they don't! Clothes come out soft, wrinkle free, scent free, and I have not had any issues with static either (that's what I was most concerned about when trying these). I would actually say these balls are better than sheets at preventing static cling. I've been using them for several weeks now and I really don't think I'll ever go back to dryer sheets. The dryer balls are holding up well, and no issues. I especially like that there truly is no scent (often the sheets that are supposed to have no scent still have a slight scent). You can add essential oil to the balls if you want scent though.

These are great dryer balls that don't fall apart and they don't smell. They help dry my clothes faster without all that filmy stuff from dryer sheets. They like to hide in shirt sleeves, pants pockets and they love to escape the dryer when taking clothes out of the dryer!

Pros: Works fine and you can skip dryer sheets or liquid softener. Con: They do cause some bouncing within the dryer. It’s enough noise that you can notice it.

I can't be certain that they help but they certainly won't harm. I am going away from fabric softeners and have had issues with static in the past. I've also had sheets with damp spots and jeans damp around the waist. These in theory will help fluff the fabric and make them dry faster. As my dryer is automatic I could test the time it takes to dry with and without but honestly I can't be bothered. My clothes come out dry, mostly wrinkle free, and without the need of dryer sheets. If your drum is stainless you will hear these banging around. I've used mine for months and it does not harm the dryer or the clothes. Oddly enough these often end up in my shirt sleeves. I guess that helps move the shirt around.

So as the title of my review exclaims, I absolutely LOVE wool dryer balls. I was introduced to them ~6 months ago. This is actually the second set I've purchased. ***Please note, the feedback I'm providing is for wool dryer balls in general. While I did purchase this specific set/brand (my order for this set came as expected and appears to be of good quality), my other set is not, and they work the same way. Also, I still use about 1/4 of the amount of liquid fabric softener I used prior to implementing these into my laundry routine. I might not need to, but haven't fully committed to just the dryer balls. Also, since I'm not sure how much of a factor this plays into the equation, my dryer is a: Samsung Front Loading Dryer Model: DVE45T6000W Drying Time: I have not personally noticed any drastic difference in my drying time with or without these. 90% of the time, I am using a low heat drying cycle. This includes the vast majority of my clothes, all of my bedding, and my bath towels. I do not like to dry on high heat because I am a taller man (6'2") and really don't want my clothes shrinking, even a small amount. For me personally, it's worth the extra $15-$20 per month in electricity costs to run my dry longer at lower temperatures. If you are drying on high heat, you might notice a difference, but I cannot speak to that. Static: I now have ZERO static issues with clothing! I live in Minnesota, where the winters get exceptionally cold and dry, and have always had issues with static during the winter months. That is no longer an issue at all! Absolutely amazing! Wrinkles: Wool dryer balls have an end to wrinkles in my clothing. Period. Even my linen duvet covers comes out wrinkle free! Softness of Clothing: I have honestly noticed a tremendous difference in how soft my clothing is after using these. My towels feel softer and nicer, my bedding is softer as well. I firmly believe these things soften clothing better than anything else. Smell: The dryer balls have no strong smells or odors, even the ones I've used for 6 months. If you worried about them transferring any smells or odors to your clothing, don't be. Personally, I like to add 2-3 drops of lavender essential oil to each of the dryer balls when I dry bedding and 2-3 drops of eucalyptus to each for clothing/towels. It's subtle enough to avoid irritating your skin or nose, but also gives a pleasing scent to everything. Overall: I highly highly recommend everyone introduce dryer balls into their laundry routine. While they may not reduce your over drying time, they WILL eliminate static, remove wrinkles, and soften everything you use them with!

I am not a "save the world" zealot. I had a bad experience with traditional fabric softener. It built up a residue within the washing machine and kept redepositing oils and waxy blotches on my clothes. Once I realized what was happening, I went on the hunt for an alternative. The wool balls seem to be good quality. I can't say I've ever made this purchase before so I have nothing to compare. The video showing how to add essential oil drops to the balls to enhance scent and softness. That did it. I used them on an old percale sheet set that I couldn't use because it was too rough. One cycle in the dryer, the sheets felt completely different. My clothes are less wrinkled but the absolute bottom line for me was the softness in my clothes and sheets. I have had to play with the number of them to use for load size but otherwise, highly recommended!
