The assembly was a bit of a bear to deal with. The lacing of the nets were tedious and I think if I knew then what I know now I would have used zip ties. I used zip ties for the top section and attaching it to the goal posts instead of drilling. It's taken some hard shots but I haven't done any slapshots as of yet(not my forte) ... show more

Nice and sturdy backstop for EZ Goal 4x6 hockey net. Assembly was more time consuming than it was difficult. You need to snake the included cord around the bar through the net mesh holes (all the way around side net sections). I Attached to goal with two wing nut bolts on each side. Straight forward. Perfect for my 6 year old son! He's just learning how to really put his weight into a shot so he's ripping them all over the garage lol. Bonus as the backstop netting on the sides is tight and acts a rebounder when he shanks his shoots. I've ripped a few shots myself and it holds up pretty well to my booming slap shot and wicked wristers lol. Great product. This backstop extension is a great addition to any backyard hickey goal set up, especially if your player is trying to shoot bar down and instead shoots into the neighbors house. So far, seems to work great, we shall see how it holds up to the elements. Set up was…a struggle. Expect to spend 2hrs setting up and not fully understanding the instructions.     • Good idea, but hard to use.
The concept of this backstop is great, but the attachment (if you do not have an EZGoal net) is nearly impossible. We have a regulation net and the upright bars are clearly bigger (diameter) than the EZGoal net because the bungee cords are borderline dangerous to get on. The side nets also have a tendency to bend back. As a work around, I have just attached them to our boards (we have a synthetic rink with hockey boards) behind the net. ... show more
