These CANNOT be painted, no matter what Rufus AI tells you! And the company is dishonest! There was no info in the listing on whether they could be or not, so a pre-determined question popped up by Rufus AI (Amazon’s AI system) that said, “Can these be painted?” so I clicked on it. It said, “YES” and gave reasoning as to why they could be. Got to work painting them with a vinyl-specific primer, then a top coat of exterior, vinyl-specific paint. Learned the hard way- they absolutely do not take paint! Only AFTER we spent a week attempting to paint them did we dig out the instruction that said in all caps “CANNOT BE PAINTED.” Here’s the fun part: I reached out the company to ask how to proceed, since it was their mistake for not putting that very important info (in all caps in their instruction manual, remember?) in their listing. They admitted Rufus AI was wrong, but said they wouldn’t update their listing, and wouldn’t refund me. Not only that, but they were so rude and belittling. $300 I spent on these and they were garbage after attempting to paint them! The paint was peeling and sliding off so they truly were trash at that point. The company still refused to take responsibility, and point-blank said I’d never get a refund and I should just throw them away! I reached out to Amazon’s A to Z service who assured me I’d get a full refund, since it wasn’t my fault. I told this company what Amazon said, and they refused, saying they wouldn’t refund me the shipping back to them ($90.) So petty! In the end, Amazon made sure I got a FULL refund and didn’t have to pay return shipping. BEWARE THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY. They are dishonest and their karma will come back to them tenfold.
