This shelf is AMAZING. It is very well made, the metal all feels VERY sturdy and strong. All the holes are perfectly aligned, it's very easy to put together (I did it with a migraine with a book light in a dark room!), and it's so adjustable and looks great! I got this to put over my jumping spiders enclosures to not only protect them from my cats, but also give them a light under the shelf that won't kill my head (chronic light sensitive migraines). This shelf will also double as a supplies/bug holder so I'll have everything I need for the spoods right there. This may seem expensive when you can just get a plastic shelf, but this is thick metal, it's going to last you decades. A plastic one will ALWAYS bowl in the middle and you'll have to replace it. These shelves were easy to assemble and fit the space perfectly. I had some unusable floor space at the bottom of my small pantry and these shelves have been perfect for storing pots, pans, kitchen appliances, and bulk food. They aren't heavy, but they are sturdy enough to hold heavy pots and pans. There was no way to lock the shelves in place once expanded, but once I set them up and started using them, that hasn't been an issue at all. When it arrived and I was like oh you got to put this together, but it really wasn't that difficult and went pretty quickly. Very well-made durable metal even the Shelf is metal. I like that you can adjust the height a bit and also that you know it can be longer or shorter. Came with some felt pads that were easy to put on the bottom of the rack so that it doesn't scratch your surface. Seems pretty durable so far we'll see how it holds up totally recommend this! ... show more

These shelves are exactly as described, very sturdy and capable of supporting quite a bit of weight without wobbling. As you can see in my photos I am using them to support a guitar amplifier and preamp. I bought two intending to stack them and didn't realize that they can be fastened together, which is even better.
