The media could not be loaded. After hours of searching, I was about to give up on finding a reasonably priced large (70+ inches wide) wooden desk on Amazon until I stumbled across this one for a mere $160 and I was sold. I was worried that the low price would mean low quality, especially since they did not yet have any reviews, but after setting up the desk last night and using it a bit. those fears appear to be unfounded. Pros: + Great price (this outweighs all the cons to give it 5 stars). + solid construction + large surface space (they kinda cheat with the 71inch width length because of the rounded edges, bus it should still be plenty large. + Excellent assembly instructions (better than Ikea or other Amazon sellers I have tried) + A nice executive/modern look. Cons: - Shipping took about 5 days (your mileage may vary) - As you can see in my second picture, the glossy surface is a fingerprint magnet. - While the instructions were easy to follow, it takes a while (took me about 2 hours on my own). - I'm pretty sure it is some sort of composite and not solid wood. As a final note, you can decide whether or not to include the piece of wood that hangs in the back, but if you plan to place the back of the desk against a wall, I would recommend leaving it off as it will block outlets and cables ad it will also push your desk away from the wall an awkward amount. ... show more
