I order these a tad large and happy I did. For winter, I don't like pants to be as tight. These are so comfortable. They are warm enough to spend a little extra time outside in chilly weather. I don't think they would be very good for a yoga or workout class unless the room is really cold. They are well made and actually longer than I needed but I'm 5'3" so I expect that. These are definitely thick and soft, stretchy, love having pockets and will be keeping me warm. however I’m not a huge fan of the shiny sheen of the fabric. I bought them for outside cold weather. It helps to block out the cold but are not "fool proof". I did not exercise in them, just walked. They are lined and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised that a Medium fit me with room. I'm 5ft and 150 pounds, so while they were roomy they were also long (but everything is). They do have a shine and there is a seam in the crotch. All my tops were long so not an issue, but worth noting. I very much liked the outside pockets.
