Please see update below. This is the second one I've bought. The first one last 18 months with heavy use. Baby loved & needed it so much I ordered second one and had it sent next day. This second one shuts off after just a few minutes. It is far more sensitive than the first one. UPDATE: It works great now. My husband was using cheap batteries he found somewhere and this is why it was not working correctly. I replace the batteries with the good ones I always use and Ewan works fine now. The light is bright, the sound s louder and it lays for the full 20 minutes.

I bought Ewan about 5 months ago. He has saved the day pretty much since we've opened the box. My daughter didn't really give him a second glance when we first started using him while rocking her but now that she is 8 months he has quickly become her comfort buddy. She grabs him as soon as we offer him to her and she sucks on his ears and pets him. I've read some reviews saying the sound box is hard to use but we've had no issue. We don't use the auto feature so that button we don't need to get to, the night light we just always leave activated and if you turn the box to face out you simply squeeze his belly once to turn on or double click to cycle through the sounds. We havent needed to wash him yet but I don't see it being any issue. My only wish for him would be that he was a little less "bulbous". He's very round and isn't easy to balance while holding baby but now that my daughter can hold him herself it's less of an issue.

We use this for our baby and we enjoy it. It seems to work to help soothe him back to sleep. I love how it goes off when he starts to cry, but we can’t figure out how to turn him off for a period of time so he doesn’t start shushing the baby while he’s awake but cries.
