Had a situation where the weld attaching the muffler separated. It was a lap coupling, 2 1/8" on either side. Couldn't find anything like this at the local parts stores, only a REALLY flimsy one that didn't work well. This looked like exactly what i needed. First impression was WOW! VERY sturdy and well made. BIG bolts (uses a 14mm ratchet). I measured withe a digital caliper and the pipe was 2 1/8". There was a little slag from the old weld, so I ground most of it off. Just to make sure it was air tight, I picked up the cheap Tiger Patch ($4) at the auto parts store. Only used half and wrapped about 4 times. Was perfect, since that was about 2.5" wide. Bolted on the clamp really tight. VERY SOLID repair. Moving the muffler there is NO movement at the joint, feels like it was welded! ... show more

So somebody liberated my catalytic converter. Bought these to get a pipe in while I waited for my cat to arrive. They do leak more than others but nothing a little paste did not fix. After being on for months due to supply chain issues, they came off very easy and allowed me to slap the new cat in. Had to cut the exhaust pipe to remove the motor on my Ford F250. These clamps made for a super fast way to connect it back up again. Plus, if I ever have to do this again (perish the thought)....I'm all set with a quick way to disconnect the exhaust.
