Used these to clamp on so weld on type tips. You can see the clamp in the picture. I cut four slits in the tip so it could compress onto the pipe.

So this is technically a 2” clamp, made for 2” tubing. If you are planning on using it for a 2” slip-fit connections keep in mind that 2” ID exhaust will give close to 2 1/4 OD once material thickness and slip joints are taken into account. This clamp will work but modifications are needed. See pics for details. ... show more

Throw those carbon steel U bolt clamps in the trash. They have a place, such as having to crush a pipe 1/8 inch to seal, but these work as good, look great, and don't rust. I just apply some red RTV around the pipe joints, smear it with a finger, then cinch these down and I have never had an issue with leaks. If you forget to put them onto the pipe before inserting them, you can bend these around the joint without damage, but it does make it more difficult to hold the pieces together with one hand while getting the nut onto the bolt. ... show more
