  • So Far So Good - Purchased During Black Friday 2019
Size: 850W Style: G5
*Update 09/30/2021* Still working like a dream. Haven't had a single issue since day one and I game and video edit heavily so it's running for most of the day every day. If you're like me, you've seen this thing floating around on lists in places like LinusTechTips forums etc, and it's rankd pretty darn low compared to a lot of other PSUs. It's enough to make you second guess ever buying one of these things. Well it went on sale during black friday and for the price, an 850W 80+ Gold fully modular PSU? I couldn't ignore it. I closed my eyes tightly and clicked "ship". Been using this thing ever since. I never use eco mode. Seems unnecessary since the PSU isn't noisy to begin with and I'd rather just know it's always keeping itself as cool as possible. It came packaged like a champ, lots of extra cables and straps included. Cables are all black so that's nice. My only gripe is that the cables are a little stiff. They're built tough as hell for sure, but they could have been more flexible. I've had to route cables in ways I would have preferred not to for the sake of tidiness but the cables just couldn't bend enough to do what I originally planned. Still, god quality cables nonetheless. Love the green design of the fan cover and the green LED when it's on. If I ever run into issues I'll come back here and give it a proper thrashing but as of now, It's been handling my rig well with no issues. ... show more

  • Warranty ONLY If They Can Sell Your Info
Size: 650W Style: G3
So, to get the warranty, you have to go online and register the product. However, to get to the registration page you have to not only make an account but also must " accept the processing of my personal data as set out in EVGA's Privacy Policy." That is HARD BS and I will not be buying any more PSU's from EVGA. You give a warranty when a customer buys a product, you don't shoehorn in stuff like this. Completely ridiculous. Will be returning without a doubt. ... show more

  • Solid PSU
Size: 650W Style: G5
Nice little PSU for a mini ITX build running Ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 3070. So far so good after about a month, and EVGA's customer service is regarded as probably the best in the business should something go wrong down the road. This is my 5th EVGA product and I've been happy with all of them. PSA: Do not mix and match cables from different power supplies. This includes cables from different PSUs from the same manufacturer (unless you check compatibility first). So some of these 1 star reviews about fried components should be taken with a grain of salt in those cases. I feel badly for the folks who learned the hard way but blaming the manufacturer for user error is unfair. ... show more

  • All I Could Ask For
Size: 650W Style: G5
The EVGA 650 G5 works perfectly, with the look and feel of quality about it. The only problem was the listed dimensions: 12 x 9 x 5 inches. Those are the outside dimensions of the box in which the power supply is shipped! The actual supply, inside the box and inside my computer, is 5 15/16 long x 5 15/16 wide x 3 5/16 high. Not an expert at building computers, I wasn't sure whether it would fit at all. But It fits perfectly, directly replacing an old (low quality) PS of the same dimensions. It's a good feeling to have such a high-quality supply powering my home built machine. EDIT: Now 3 months later it's still working perfectly and silently. I'm going to build another computer and will certainly buy another EVGA G5 supply. ... show more

  • Excellent PSU for the price
Size: 650W Style: GT
A tier rating on LTT, if you can snag this at $50 it's a steal. Used with a MSI Z490 and 10700K; the PSU only has one 8pin (4+4) EPS connector. But if you're doing some heavy overclocking or using a power hungry CPU you probably won't be looking at a 650W PSU anyways. Comes with two cables for PCIE, one of which is a single 6+2 pin. Great for a clean look on GPUs that only require 8 pins. ... show more

  • 850 G3 Perfect for Mid Size Tower
Size: 850W Style: G3
This is a nice PSU with an excellent 10 year warranty from a reputable company. PROS: - Fully modular design is nice to keep unneeded cables out of your case and maximize airflow - Eco mode is nice to keep the unit silent during low / medium load, the fan only turns on when gaming (heavy load) - Clean, low ripple power with all the safety features CONS: - Cables are the perfect length for my mid size tower, but I don't think they are long enough for full size towers. You would have to run the cables all over the place obstructing airflow and looking messy. There's no way the cables are long enough to be ran behind the motherboard of a full size tower. Conclusion: This is a great PSU backed by an EVGA 10 year warranty. If you have a mid size tower there's no doubt this is an excellent choice. Full size tower owners might have some difficulty keeping the cables hidden and still reaching where they need to go. Don't go cheap on the power supply and risk frying all your expensive components! NOTE: Make sure to register your PSU with EVGA on their website right away and upload a copy of your invoice for easy warranty claims in the future. ... show more

  • Reliable, Compact, and Quiet
Size: 750W Style: G5
Received this early October 2019 and has been working great! Installation was a breeze and there is a hardware switch to turn eco mode on/off. Powers my components with ease and comes with all the cables you need to mount and connect your components to the power supply. Time will tell how long this will last but my previous 650W EVGA power supply is 5+ years old and still works fine. As always when purchasing EVGA gear, register your product to get the full 10 year warranty. Hardware: Asus X570 TUF Motherboard Ryzen 3700X GTX 1080TI (OC) G.
