We got this for my dad (92 y/o) to sit in when he goes deep sea fishing. He needed a sturdy chair. He is a large man, and this is wide and very sturdy. The feet on the chair legs are 4" round, which adds great stability. We ordered it because the leg height is adjustable - this works great! He needs a higher chair to get up out of more easily. In order to be steady on the boat, we purchased non-skid 4" rubber pads to glue on the feet to keep the chair from slipping on the boat deck. The only not-so-good thing is that the legs of the chair cross in an "X" shape in front of the chair seat, which is uncomfortable on the back of the thighs. To make the chair more comfortable, we bought one of those flat bed pillows to put on the seat, which solves that problem. Overall we (and he) are very happy with the chair. ... show more

As advertised, even better. Sturdy chair. The cooler keeps drinks cold enough for a long afternoon of fishing. The pole holder could be a little more adjustable but all in all, a great chair.

Really nice quality chair! It was a gift and they were really happy about it and excited to take it on their next day out fishing trip. Sturdy, the bottom of the legs seem very sturdy with the extra part attached. Fishing rod holder is solid too. Would recommend!

I have been thinking about ordering this chair for some time. I finally decided to order it, and I'm very pleased with it so far. The legs are easy to adjust for the unevenness of the ground that you're setting it on. One thing I would like to note is that it's not a good idea to put the front legs taller than the rear legs, so you automatically lean back a little bit because then, if you lean some more, you fall over backwards. Don't ask me how I know. The pouches and cooler all seem to be well made. The zippers work smoothly. I had a little problem getting the rod holder on, but I finally figured out that if I just press it in place, it will spread open wide enough to fit the tubes. The chair is hard to close because it's being so stiff. The instructions say, to put your foot on the bottom rung and pull up on the seat sides. However, the storage pouches are in the way on one side, and the cooler is in the way on the way is in the way on the other side. I can detach the bottom of the pouches so I can get my foot in there but that seems to be more trouble than its worth. ... show more

I use it for shore fishing, and bring it to picnics. It has several adjustments. It stands up well for me and I weigh 230 pounds. It's very comfortable. Has multiple storage compartments.

My friend was impressed with my chair that he bought one as well, but when his arrived it didn't have legs attached. I really like mine though. It dries quickly if it gets wet, everything is solid when it's set up, great for pier or shoreline. It is a bit on the heavy side but it's worth it if you have a wagon or something to carry it in. ... show more
