    • Great bumper. why pay too much?
So, i had a little accident a few months ago. basically nothing happened to my car, but the bumper (plastic bumper cover) was completely broken off. This bumper cover saved the day! quality is great. It comes in a big package, but it is lightweight and ready to go. Newly living in portland, i didn't know where to go for the homie hookup. Let me tell you people judge you very harshly if your car is missing a bumper cover. It's just a superficial thing, but it's true. I got no end of comments as well as harrassment from security guards, etc. just all around bad attention. The problem is, i couldn't go anywhere that would charge me a reasonable price for a bumper. First shop i went to quoted me 5000 dollars. FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! I didn't even answer, i just frowned and walked off. Another place quoted me 1000 dollars. OK, that's a lot, but they sounded like they were gonna do a good job. So, i was like, sure ok. go for it. Well, guess what, they saw the coolant thermos resevoir had a dent in it. So, they said, they wouldn't work on my car at all because it was "LIABLE TO EXPLODE"... WHAT? I tried to explain to them that it was an auxillary coolant resevoir. and the only purpose was to keep the coolant warm in cold weather so the engine starts smoothly. Wow, i've heard some dumb things before, but that takes the cake. The refused to work on my car. Finally, I realized that i could get this bumper cover for 90 dollars on amazon. Bought a few bungee ties at a truck stop, so my total cost was <100.. My quick rig doesn't look perfect, but it stays just fine, and I can get it mounted properly by my boys at Safeway Auto in North Hollywood when i get down to LA. (safeway auto is highly recommended to anyone who has a prius in the Los Angeles area, btw). Best work, most honest, and the best prices you will find anywhere. Anyway, the only minor problem with the bumper cover is that there is nowhere to mount a license plate, so you will have to drill some holes or something if you live in a state that requires plates in the front. I saved enough money to buy 50 drills, so who cares? ... show more

This arrived in great shape, and was a perfect fit. I had planned to paint with cans and clear coat - save a lot of grief and order this pre painted! It will look better and is worth the extra cost!!

Went on easy. Spray painted with matching metallic gray. Additional grill pcs fit perfectly as well. DYI saved big bucks!

The seller folded up the bumper cover and stuck it in a box. Leaving creases that we cannot get out of the bumper after Heating. Had they just sprung a little bit more money to ship the bumper cover in a bigger box there would be no issue.
