I use these on my GunSafe and other areas of my home to let me know when turds are messing with my stuff. I do Airbnb so it's nice to know when your goods are being tampered with. I have them inside and outside the house and they work great. High traffic areas require charging about once per month and low traffic area are about once every 3 months. No monitoring fees and never drops off WiFi. I can see them anywhere in the world from my phone. I also have a few hardwired Eufy cams and they work great too if you need 100% video all the time. All the wireless only record in motion clips up to about 30 seconds. In most cases that's enough to see what's happening. I also use one in my garage to see if the door is opened and to watch delivery drivers. Id show a picture but that would compromise my security. Just trust me. These are great cams. ... show more

    • Somewhat Unreliable, But Overall Excellent
6 month update: - Changing my rating from 1 star to 4 stars because everything is excellent with the eufy cameras and monitoring/viewing application, but the video capture is still sporadic. - Camera battery recharge required after ~4 months for very high usage areas (garage and driveway). - Camera battery charge is lasting over 6 months for lesser usage areas (front porch and backyard patio). - Recorded and live video is very good and sound is pretty good. - Camera alarm is very loud (excellent) and camera audio works well. - The application ( using on Apple iOS devices) is extremely good. Full featured and easy to use. Would I recommend the eufyCam 2C wireless home security camera after 6 months of usage? Yes, but be aware that my experience is there is a slight delay activating the cameras to start recording and under certain circumstances the camera may not record anything (i.e. when the sun sets it interferes with the camera detection to motion to start recording). Cons: • These battery-operated cameras go into to sleep mode until motion is detected. The result is no video capture or minimal video capture. • The video capture is very sporadic. It does not matter if it is day or night. People walking at the same speed and same path through the camera view are sometimes recorded and other times are not. • Receive “someone has been spotted” notifications that are valid like a family member leaving the house through the front door, but there is no recording. Eufy app indicated I had 6 notifications last night when my son was coming and going, but there were only 2 recordings. • After 4 weeks of reading the Eufy Community posts, installation instructions, support information, adjusting the camera angles and camera settings, and testing, the very intermittent video capture issues remain. This is the main reason for my initial review 1 star rating. Pros: • Easy to install. The installation application for placing the cameras and checking the signal strength was very helpful. The supplied mounting hardware is sufficient. Note: You can use long wood screws to mount the cameras on vinyl siding. • The cameras look great. They are not too big, but noticeable enough to possibly deter an intruder. • The spotlight is bright enough to let someone know the camera has been activated and they are being recorded. Other Items • Audio recording is okay and same for two-way audio. • Battery life seems good so far. After 1 month the battery indicators are still fully charged or almost fully charged. • IP67 waterproof is good so far. Two cameras are somewhat protected under the roof eves and the other two cameras are completed protected from the weather elements. • Night vision is good when it works. • Human detection is spotty. Sometimes cars activate my front porch and garage cameras, but don’t record a person walking up my driveway to my front porch to deliver a package. I have some good video of my neighbor’s cat circling my house at night. ... show more

    • Great Security Package
I have to be honest with you. I do not understand some of these negative reviews. There were so many recent ones clustered together that it almost prevented me from ordering the system. But then I said how bad could it be? And if it’s not bad I’ll just return it. It probably arrive 24 hours after I ordered it and it took me an entire 25 minutes to download the app set up the system and get the cameras online. Mounting was a breeze. I agree with some of the reviews in which a magnetic mounting system might be better. But for what I’m using it for it works just fine. I don’t look forward to having to get a step ladder out to charge them every time they need to be charged. But what are you gonna do. As far as performance. They function exactly how advertised. For me, the quality is good enough. The app functions fine. The night vision in motion sensors work fine for me. And the spotlight really helps to enhance nighttime vision. The app is very intuitive and easy to use. I did shut down some of the alerts because it got a little annoying. But you can also customize a specific setting that works for you. And that would be for all of your cameras. As far as battery charge, it’s a little too soon for me to comment on and maybe I’ll update my review down the road. The cameras have only been on the house for about two weeks now. But really, if you’re looking for a security system for your home, I would recommend this one for sure for ease-of-use, easy set up, and overall functionality. For some of those negative reviews, for what you were looking for, you need to be shopping in a much higher price point than this. You were looking for commercial quality security cameras. And they cost thousands of dollars, not under 200. ... show more

This was an addition to the four we already had. We have the doorbell cam as well as 4 others. No monthly fees! Our phones are alerted by a little beep when the cameras detect movement. The picture quality is really good. We see the deer in our yard at night, unfortunately. I highly recommend these.
