I have some mechanical skill. This part was not the exact replacement for the carburetor on my Honda generator. I combined the parts from the old rig with the new parts to make it work and was able to get favorable results. I think this is a decent product and works as advertised

My Honda EU2000i was surging while running. Also, I found gasoline in the air filter when I disassembled it--which Google tells me is due to a fuel float or needle valve problem. Bottom line: I needed a new carb. The mechanical fit of this carb is perfect. That respect was plug-n-play. The only hitch (well commented in these reviews) was the electrical plug was incompatible. I had to splice wires to the old plug. When I was done assembling, it was two pulls to prime the carb, and the third pull to start it up. It now runs perfectly. My generator had been sitting completely unrun for 10 years with old fuel and oil in it, so it needed a serious rescue operation. I used this carburetor as part of a full tune-up (replacing the spark plug, filters, etc.) to get it running again. Before installing it, I read some helpful reviews from other buyers mentioning that the new electrical component (the solenoid/eco-throttle piece) didn't fit quite right on their specific model. Taking that advice, I simply swapped my old factory electrical part onto this new carburetor body. It mated perfectly and solved any potential fitment issues. Once everything was bolted back together, the generator fired right up and runs incredibly smooth under load. If you have a piece of equipment that's been sitting for a decade, this is the affordable, perfect fix to get it back to 100%. ... show more

At first glance, this is a perfect fit for the EU2000. I purchased two of them to install into generators that were neglected for a long time. Upon closer inspection, the carburetors are not of the best quality. The fit and finish is a little cheap. The biggest issue I have is the wiring harness connector for the "eco throttle" was not a match for both EU2000i generators I installed these carburetors in to. I had to remove the control units from the original carbs and place them on these for a quick solution. This did work, however if you are buying this and your eco throttle control is an issue, just beware the connector may not match what your generator has. I will update this review in the future as with something like this only time will tell. Now that these generators are in my care, I will be testing them regularly and therefore will be able to report on the carburetors in more detail over time. As for the other included parts, again, not the best quality over the original Honda parts, but they all fit and have worked out so far. The gasket material is pretty thin and seems weak, however they all fit well. The filter material is okay, but not as dense and solid as the original part. My generators do not have an inline fuel filter, nor is there space to install the included filter, so I've left them out. I have about 6 hours on the carburetor so far and there is nothing negative to report, outside of the incorrect connector issue. Overall, for the money, I don't think you can go wrong with these, the value seems to fit the cost, and having installed two of them, they work pretty well. ... show more

These carbs do NOT work for a HONDA EU2000i generator... The "look" like the should, but as others have posted, the wiring plug is wrong, AND if you look at the carb, there are line connections all on one side of the carb... the OEM carb has the fuel inlet on one side and the vents/drain on the other side. I don't know what the internal porting of these are but I have 2 of these generators and I tried 2 of these carbs on them... Of course, I had to use my old electronic controllers and swapped that out, but both units did the exact same thing... They would fire and try to start/run, but would die right away... I then bought new fuel pumps... same thing... During this third or 4th round of installing/removing reworking, etc. that's when I noticed the ever so slight difference in the porting of these carbs... Bit the bullet and bought HONDA OEM carbs. stuck them on and my genny's run like a top... They're like brand new... I have these 2 pieces of junk boxed up for drop off at the UPS store later today. DO NOT BUY THIS CHEAP CHINESE JUNK!! ... show more
