  • A good instrument to learn on. May need some adjustments. Cheap case
The good: Great sound, in tune, still working after a few months of play. Inexspensive Good tone Easy to play Once I adjusted the joints it fits together well and no air leaks. The bad: Cheap plastic case. Difficult to open the cheap plastic case due to lack of spring assisted opening .IE need two hands for two latches and a third hand to lift the case while holding the latches. The cheap plastic case isn't molded very well to fit the parts. I had to sand down the end joint to get the flute to fit together well. You'd almost break it trying to force it together. The head piece joint is pretty loose but air tight. Neutral: This is a VERY light flute. I had an old pawn shop flute I played back in Jr High and it weighed a lot more than this one. Doesn't seem to affect it in any negative way. Just thin walled construction. ... show more

  • Okay for a student flute, I guess- only lasted one season
UPDATE: flute lasted just under one school year. By the end of the year one note would not play. Would have cost more to repair than to buy a new one. The good thing about this flute was that it cost less to buy than it would have cost us to rent, so for a beginning player it was okay. The case handle broke within the first 3 months. We ended up having to replace the instrument after the one playing season. My son's music teacher recommended this brand as a starter so we got it. Son is very happy with it, and I have no experience with instruments like this, but it sounds and looks stiff to me. He is easily frustrated with the key action. ... show more

  • Kinda Thin
This is fine for beginners but a couple of months the handle broke.

  • Good enough
Flute works and is made well enough, but would not call it high quality. This works well as a beginner flute, but would not suggest for any sort of professional needs. Was a bit scuffed and scratched straight out of the box. :-/

  • Great for the price
My kid wanted to join band. I didnt want to buy a new expensive flute, especially if she didn't stick with it. Renting it was an option but still gets expensive over time. I bought her this one. It worked great and she ended up using it for two years. The one issue i had was that my daughter could hit a note(G i think) on other flutes but could not on this one and niether could her teacher. The flute was almost perfect. ... show more

  • This is a great flute for the money. Definitely recommend this one. 3 years and still going strong
2019 granddaughter is finishing up her third year flutist with this flute. Next year she will go into marching band in high School. I will be donating this one to the Middle School band program. Even with the Dents & Dings it has been a great flute only being worked on one time to align holes. I would recommend this to anyone as a starter to intermediate flute ... show more

  • Good valued instrument
I gave this instrument to my 10yrs old daughter to practice in afterschool band. It is pretty good sound and very good price to gift to kids. I surely recommand this instrument to kids who purchase the first instrument. And I recommand that if the kids love to play then buy some good instrument too, One thing you have to concern is the case. It come with plastic case but it is so wick. You might need to buy aftermarket case. ... show more
