We bought them for the looks and that they are black out curtains. Very nice looking, heavy duty material as well. They're pretty much wrinkle free and do a good job of blocking out the light. We are thinking of buying another pair of probably different pattern for the living room. These were bought for the kitchen patio sliding glass door and are perfect. These are nice quality and nice looking curtains! I wanted something to block out the sun and these do an almost perfect job. No shearness. If you have cats that like to “feel” your curtains with their nails, these would likely snag.

These are beautiful, quality curtains that look amazing and are definitely blackout. I have tried stores in person and was unable to find curtains I liked for my daughter's room. These are perfect and are am amazing value at this price point. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.
