I bought 2 of these, both in xlarge, the black and the burgundy Heather. (5'9 185lbs 33 waist 41 hips The black came in first and is super comfortable. It is double layered jersey so it doesnt show every lump, bump, and line, you won't need a slip, but also isn't a true black. It's definitely a casual skirt, which is fine for me, but if you try to dress it up, you may run into the blacks not matching. The material, according to the tag, is 95% cotton ans 5% spandex. Youre SUPPOSED to hang dry, but since I had the burgundy one coming, I decided to be bold and threw the black one in the dryer. After a normal machine wash and dry, there was very minimal shrinkage. The pictures show the black one after being dried compared to the burgundy that had just come in the mail. About 1/4 inch in width and 1/4 inch in length. These skirts are great, my only complaint would be, like everyone else, is the waist band is loose. I have more square hips, so it still works for me, but it definitely feels like it wants to slip but for the most part, it stays put. It does hold its shape and doesn't get all stretched out, im 5 9, and it hits just below my knees. My biggest advice would be if you're small in the waist with a booty or hips, I would size down, if youre a bit straighter through, and between sizes, get the smaller. I got my normal size but im left wondering if I should have sized down. I'm going to try another one in a large and see what happens and will update. Hope this helps Ok so here's the update. I did order the next size down and there is a massive size difference. It is skin tight. So I just keep getting the xl (5 10, 190lbs) I've gotten several of them, they have all held up well to washer and dryer and constant wear. Not only is this not cotton, the color of the garment was completely off. It looked like an undergarment. Needless to say it had to go back. I guess you get what you pay for.

I normally buy a 2X in clothing just to give myself a little "breathing room," which is what I did in this case. (Im 5'8" and wear a size 18/20.) This skirt is super stretchy so I think I would've been good with the 1X. I decided to keep it, however, because it wasn't TOO big. It was loose, but didn't fall off my hips, and didn't LOOK too big. I love the way the stretchy material hugs my hips and makes me look curvy. The skirts falls below the knee, so it isn't too short. It also greatly minimized my little "poochy" belly. I bought one in gray too. This is one of the best clothing purchases I've ever made:)

I ordered the Esteez Chicago skirt in "beige" but the color that I received matched the "tan" skirt exactly, much darker than the "beige" pictured online (see photos). So, I returned it and ordered another beige thinking that the Amazon fulfillment person just grabbed the wrong color by mistake - not so - the bag for 2nd order skirt said "beige" on the label, but it was still darker than the beige in the picture and matched the color of the tan skirt, not the off-white creamy vanilla bean kind of beige shown on the website. And I've never had a 95% cotton 5% spandex blend for a skirt that is so thick, heavy. Maybe you will like the thickness and heaviness if you live in NY, NJ, Chicago, or Canada, but for Florida it's way too thick/hot, very unlike other cotton skirts that I've ordered from elsewhere. Lastly, the skirt runs super small! Like 2 sizes smaller than average. My size large skirt fits tighter than several size 6/SM skirts that I have in my closet. It also barely covers my knees at 5'8"...about 2 inches shorter than other "below the knee" pencils skirts that I have.
