I've bought two sets of these now. They look fine, and they are quite comfortable to wear. There's usually some minor issues with loose stitching, or some pockets being a bit smaller than others, but nothing awful. The biggest issue these have is after about 10-15 washes the elastic on the waistband starts to get a bit wonky. With the original set I bought, the waistbands are almost entirely unraveled, but still wearable. If you have large shirts, it's not really noticeable. I was looking to replace some of my athletic shorts & came across these while scrolling through one night. I read reviews & decided to give them a shot. First of all I was a little skeptical on the size chart. I usually wear a Large or XL short. I followed the chart & it suggested XXL. Turns out that was the perfect fit. They stay in place without the drawstrings tied, but stay in better place tied up. I probably could have ordered the XL & been fine but i love the fit these provide. These are made of polyester but very comfortable. They fit all they way to tops of my knees & loose around the lower thigh. They are very comfortable both fit & material wise. The pockets are nice & deep. There is a loophole for a workout towel & a pocket for a cell phone. The cell phone pocket is way to small for any phone I’ve owned since way back to my blackberry years ago but I suppose if you had an older style phone it may fit. It’s not like I’m not putting my phone in the deep side pockets anyway so it’s not a big deal. They came pretty quickly to me using just free shipping. I was pretty happy about that because I couldn’t wait to see if they were comfortable & going to fit. All & all I feel this was a good purchase, I’d probably buy them again. ... show more

I needed shorts to exercise in and found this pack of shorts at a great price. I wasn't expecting high quality clothing, but I was expecting shorts that weren't falling apart at the seams. The original pack I purchased had A LOT of loose threads and only 1 out of the 4 shorts in that pack was perfect. The other 3 had waaay too many loose threads and 2 of the 3 developed holes after the first wash. I also noticed that the all black shorts waistband string was much shorter on one side. Because I liked the 1 pair of shorts that was of good quality, I decided to buy a 2nd pack that was a size larger over a year later. I was hoping that QC would've improved since there were so many 4/5 star reviews, but the QC remains just as poor as a year ago. These new shorts also came with loose threads and the all black short happened to have the same issue again where one side of the string was about 5 inches too short on one side. If you need a pack of reasonably price shorts for exercising at home, I would recommend them as long as you know you may be replacing them within 6 months. But if you plan on using these outside the home, I wouldn't recommend them since they have a ridiculous amount of loose threads that continue to come undone during every use and after every wash. ... show more

Did you watch "Idiocracy" and think to yourself , " Wow, that part where they just throw away the clothes they are wearing and grab a new set from a dispenser on the wall sure was swell. I could use that in my life!" If so, then these are the shorts for you. Disregard the one star review, these should easily be a 4 star for your needs. Not 5, because you will need to provide your own wall mounted disposable clothing dispenser. Also, there is not a single Carl's JR ad anywhere on the shorts. -1 star. For anyone else who intends to wear their clothing more than once, avoid these shorts. First, the shorts I received were not the design I ordered. I had ordered color set " A " , all black shorts with different trim. I received set " B " , blue, black, silver, and grey shorts. I had intended to use them right away, so I decided to keep them and order another set of the all black shorts. The 2nd set was the same as the first, So I assume there is some sort of labeling issue at the warehouse. I did look through reviews and see a couple people mention they started to fray after washing, but there will still plenty of good reviews so I decided to buy them anyways. Just to be safe, I decided to hand wash, and hang dry the shorts to avoid any issues. You can see from the attached picture how effective that was. That was taken after a single use, and a gentle hand washing. I understand they are pretty inexpensive shorts, but disintegrating after a single use is pretty unacceptable. I have similarly priced clothing items that have lasted through a year or more of use. Oddly, Both pairs of black shorts ( one each from both of the 4-packs I purchased ) have remained intact through multiple uses and washes. Only the grey, silver, and blue shorts started to come apart after the first washing. However 2 out of 8 is not enough to make this worth the purchase. ... show more
