Description
Color:Red The Ernie Ball VPJR Tuner is the perfect combination 2-in-1 pedal
offering precise volume control with an enhanced definition digital tuner. The
pedal features a fast and accurate chromatic tuner with graphic volume display
that is visually attractive and easy to operate. The large LCD display
automatically switches between tuner and volume modes depending on the signal
level, allowing the player to tune at minimal volume. However, other “always
on” configurations are accessible via a double tap on the touch screen. The
tuner can also be calibrated to a variety of ideal reference pitches. The
pedal’s compact, rugged design consists of an aluminum housing, and features a
stronger, more durable PVC coated Kevlar cord ensuring consistent tension
throughout the foot sweep.

Very responsive and fast tuner
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This tuner pedal was the perfect combination of function and form. I have always wanted to get an in line guitar tuner but didn’t want to add an entire pedal on my board just for that. I have never even heard of a touch screen pedal before so I was already very excited to try this. This pedal from initial unboxing, feels really solid in the hands and fairly heavy. The pedal comes by itself without a power supply, but that was no issue because I am using a power supply board. The pedal was so cool to turn on and see the Ernie Ball logo pop up on the screen. There is several modes to use this in, either as a volume pedal only, turner only, or as a combination. When using the combo feature, to turn on the tuning function you have to depress the pedal to 0 volume and tuner automatically comes on. The actual tuner has a very fast response to moving to the next string/note. This is usually been an issue with other tuners but it really is immediate to switch notes. The touch screen itself is nice and bright and you can easily see him w much volume you have. The volume pedal function has nice, smooth sound from 0 to 10 and there is no noise coming from the pedal when at 0. Overall very satisfied with this pedal and it has already earned a full time, permanent spot on the pedal board

Premium Quality, Extremely Professional!
First off I must mention I am no music professional in any way, shape or form. My initial impressions of this is that it feels very well made and has a good bit of weight to it - feels extremely premium and built to last. I didn't pay attention when it said it didn't come with a power supply - shame on me there. So be sure you have an appropriate power supply. I would assume most musicians would have one that would work with this. I had a friend who knows a lot about this kind of stuff help me set it up. Having someone with knowledge of this made that process very easy and quick. Reading the instructions would have got me to the same point but having someone help me was much faster. The pedal itself works exactly as described and really gets you in tune quickly & professionally. This can be used just playing around at home or on the fly at a show or concert. The screen is very bright and can be read very easily even in a well lit room. If you are a musician and need a high quality tuner, this is the way to go. I feel you won't be disappointed - just remember it doesn't come with a power supply.

AMAZING
Our small ones play a number of wind and string instruments. One of them does all the tuning by ear for everything from the ukelele to his violin and the kalimba to the everything. His brother, who has a much better voice and -- okay, he hummed the star wars music when he was a year old -- is not able to tune by ear. I am not sure why, because his tonal understanding is practically perfect. He is the one using this and he is learning. He plays a guitar and saxophone and the other saxophone and a couple of other things. I am so thrilled to have so many children in my family who play just about everything.

Where Have You Been All My Life?
I am terrible at the guitar but I like to fiddle. If you are a novice enthusiast like me, you probably have no clue how to properly tune a guitar. I've always been impressed by people who can just pluck the string and know. I am not one of those people and never will be. This makes me look like one of those people. I just plug the guitar in and it tells me whether a string is in tune or not. It works perfectly (according to people I know who know what a properly tuned guitar sounds like). It is one of those products that just works every single time.

Teenager approved, smiled even
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I got this tuner for the teenager that never admits he likes anything, and he admitted he loved this pedal. He was impressed about how well this worked and easy it was to use. No guessing involved for the musicians in your life that don’t read the directions. Let their creativity soar and do it quietly while tuning their guitar. Yes you can turn the volume DOWN while the display shows the key perfectly every time. Happy user, happier member of of the fan club.
