    • Spring action reduces impact on palm and wrist

This cane is cool but heavier than previous versions. My wife uses a much older version without the shock absorbing spring and has a smaller foot. As an amputee with prosthetic she ocassionally needs a little support on longer walks. After she tried this one, she confiscated it. The spring helps her gait and is easier on the hand. She also likes the much larger foot. The weight doesn’t bother her. My expectation is I will have to buy another one if I want to use it. The doctors with saws and hammers will be adding titanium parts to me soon. Hopefully I won’t need a cane after rehab. We will see. If I do, Amazon will bring me another one of these. ... show more

My husband is very happy with comfortable handle and the suspension makes a necessary item more comfortable. Only reason 4 stars and not 5…….the cane tip because of its flexibility can be a hazard for someone who realizes on the cane to stand from a sitting position & the cane does not stand on its own. We did replace the flexible tip with a stand alone tip. For $89 the Manufacture should give the customer a option on which tip would suit them. Edited-Oct 2022. Suspension no longer works & is more of a hazard to use. Tried to contact the company and they did NOT reply. ... show more

I bought this for my mom (it was recommended by a friend of hers). She loved the idea of the wider foot and the shock absorber, but when she received it she asked if there was a "ladies" version. The friend who recommended it was a guy who is a little stronger than she is. She has not used it but is unable to return it (I do most of her Amazon buying when I visit). ... show more

The cane has solid feel and is well built. The spring should have been left out. It gives the cane a mushy feeling when I put pressure on it. One of the cane I received the spring is not well fitted. It sticks when pressure is put on it. It is also scraping the tubing. I have had the cane two days and already the paint is gone. ... show more

Th Ergocane is a huge improvement over other canes. It is worth every penny that I paid. Much more comfortable handle than other canes and I LOVE the shock absorber feature. Very sturdy, yet lightweight.
