I bought this to replace my existing L-desk that I've had for 10+years. It's easy to build, no power tools needed. You will need a Phillips screwdriver. I do wish the power adapter had a longer cable but I made it work. The desk itself is very stable with no rocking or moving on my hardwood floor. The table top itself is decent and significantly better particle board than you'd get at Walmart, for example. Heavy box- 80lbs give or take. Good instruction manual, easy to follow directions. Took approx 25min to assemble. Instructions are listed for configuration with a long side on the right or left which took the guess work out. I would strongly recommend using an electric impact driver or a drill with a Phillips head bit. If not, you’ll have to use your own screwdriver (not included). Holes are pre drilled for screws. Motor makes a hum/whirring noise but honestly it’s quiet. I had to turn off my fan in the room to show the sound in the video. Overall impressions - 8/10. Value is good. Desktop material is adequate for the money. Good for home office. Slight wobble with nothing on the desktop, this may resolve itself with weight of a comp etc. Would recommend. ... show more

Took a while to put together, but from reading the reviews, I expected a couple of hours (took about an hour). I did have to have my husband help my flip the top, as it is large and awkward for one person, and I didn't want to wreck it. Directions were easy to follow and the sit to stand mechanisms were easy to install and work really well. They operate smoothly and at perfect height options for my needs and even my husband (I'm only 5'4" & he's 5'10"). The desk does has a couple of seams but they aligned well for me and I dont place a lot of weight on my desk. If you lean on the desk a lot, I could see them varying slightly over time depending on the type of flooring you have the desk on (ours is on carpet). Overall, I'm very happy with my desk. This desk is awesome! It is heavy duty and is a great size. The motor is actually quiet-enough for the few times you will use it and is very smooth - hence, go ahead and stack things on your desk, they will not fall over. There are three table top pieces which you will attach to each other. It is best to put this together on a hard floor and not on carpet, like I did. The table top pieces did not line up perfectly on the surface and I added some extra support with thin brackets. These brought the top in alignment and allow for items to sit on the desk flat and to be pushed across the desk. There are three programmable presets which are super-easy to use and accurately remember the position you assign them. I really like standing occasionally, and so does my back and neck! The instructions could be a little clearer, but you should be able to figure it out fairly easily. ... show more

If my price was cheaper, this would honestly be a five star desk for a niche. If you want to try out a standing desk but don't want to commit to a good quality price tag, this would be the way to go. Consider a purchase if it is under 200, though I'd say it's closer to 100 value. The box arrived bashed up and with slices all over it, through to the inside. However, only one small corner has a ding on it so I decided to assemble. As some reviewers have mentioned, the places pieces connect can be a little sharp but not so badly it has sliced my fingers. It is never going to be a completely level perfect desk because the pieces connect in the middle. It's probably only off a few millimeters but it's enough that one side of my monitor doesn't quite touch. The desk goes up and down easily, fast enough, and isn't terribly loud. Saving settings is very easy. The materials are super cheap. The desk is extremely light. Think so light your monitor might shake while you type. The pieces are held together with metal brackets but everything is so flexible I was worried the boards would snap as I was flipping the desk upright. Half of the predrilled holes were missing. If you have your own drill, you'll be fine because the boards are quite thin, but you're not going to be able to drill holes with a screwdriver. Otherwise the instructions were easy enough to follow and I appreciate that the desk can either be a right or left construction. ... show more

I have been using this desk for quite some time now. Is it perfect? no not at all. I got this for a good price and wanted a desk that I can adjust since I work from home, needed to be able to stand up and more importantly fit a walking underneath it when I want to walk and work. so far it's been holding up well. Setting it all up wasn't too bad, it came with 3 pieces my husband did all the work about an hour or so. he's all about perfection and I don't mind. the 3 boards doesn't bother me. I have giant pads and desk protector so I don't really see it. The desk comes 3 preset that you can do, adjusting the height was simple with a press of a button. The max height is way more than I needed (I am only 5'5) so I imagine for taller people it will be just fine! I have two 34 inch monitors on it with the dual arm mount. After over a year, I do see the back part sag a little but not too noticeable for me. I think it was well worth what I paid for it. It allows me to adjust the desk and my chair to the comfort level that I need it to. ... show more
