  • Best Bang for the Buck
Style: Right Handed Color: Alpine White
The Epiphone SG may not be Angus Young's expensive Gibson cousin, but Gibson is most certainly the (good) ghost in the machine. In other words, if the 2k + price tag for a Gibson SG is too much on the pocketbook, it's twin cousin - the Epiphone SG - will not disappoint. I bought this for my 16 year old son, who (like me) learned his first chords on an entry-level, twangy, clunky, hide-from-your-friends, basement model. Hey, that's life. But, when I heard his playing improve, the Epiphone SG was the perfect guitar. for him to push things to the next level. To begin with, It looks cool (especially in white... wow!). Additionally, it has great neck action, good pick-ups, and admirable tone for the price. This guitar, in my opinion, is a gateway guitar -and a first cousin to- the premium guitar brands. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Beautiful guitar
Style: Right Handed Color: Alpine White
This thing is so pretty. I love that the entire guitar is made from one piece of wood. The coloring is so beautiful. Very solid overall, sounds great too.

  • Very nice
Style: Right Handed Color: Heritage Cherry
Am a Epiphone fan, this one nice guitar. What was needed, price point is great on this. If you want an sg this is very nicely done, weight is good.

  • Great guitar
Style: Left Handed Color: Ebony
Always wanted an sg, and now I have one. It might be the cheap epiphone version, but it's still a great guitar.

  • A Guitar for all Seasons
Style: Right Handed Color: Alpine White
Wow, fast delivery, yes. But more than that, the SG is a versatile guitar, for Punk, Metal, Classic, or Experimental, this is the ONE. The alpine white caught my attention as that was the one I saw Ian Hunter playing on a Mott The Hoople documentary. Clash documentaries show Mick Jones with the SG, and yes, Angus and Pete, the list goes on. The guitar is comfortable for the novice and memorable for the veteran. The SG and the Les Paul I will take to my grave. (Cue Black Sabbath and Deep Purple riffs) ... show more

  • Great potential, horrible setup and frets
Style: Right Handed Color: Alpine White
Love AC/DC. Always wanted an SG. was psyched to get this. Beautiful guitar, great features and specs. Fretwork (several high frets), neck adjustment, absolute horrible. Pickups sound great, as long as you pick a spot to play that doesn't fret out. A simple adjustment won't fix this. Disappointed. Gonna have to spend a couple hundred bucks to fix, so, great price is out the window. ... show more
