This is not the type of product I would normally purchase. My "beauty routine" consists of showering and putting on clean clothes. I rarely wear makeup. However, as I approach 40, I am unhappy with the effect of facial hair on my skin, and I just wanted some way to remove it all at once at home. I don't want to buy any more razors or shaving cream, I'll inevitably get tired of buying too much. Plus, there's a chance of stubble growing on your face or getting razor nicks, which sounds worse than some fine facial hair. I bought this after googling and I'm really happy with it. It hurt at first, but it wasn't unbearable. The first time I used it, I used half of my face so I could compare, and it really made a nice improvement to my face, even for someone who doesn't wear makeup. It made my face look clearer and "neater". I still have some very light and fine hairs on my face, but I don't think it matters because it looks more natural than being completely smooth and hairless. It easily removes the hair around my lips, chin and "sideburns". I like that it can switch directions and pull hairs that are growing in different directions. It looks like it is a very simple device to use once a week or so for quick maintenance. I feel like I got my money's worth, especially if it lasts a couple years. ... show more

I love this epilator and have been using it for about 5 weeks now and love it. I am in my fifties and was left with a lot of fine hairs after years of electrolysis (stubborn blonde hairs) due to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). While I was happy with the results of the electrolysis that ended about 15 years ago, I didn't like the possibility of getting very long peachy hairs. The first application was easy, the pain/discomfort was the same as, if not lighter than, waxing, and I was able to wax my entire face and neck in less than 10 minutes. It's amazing! I took it on vacation for two weeks and the "touch up" only took 5 minutes. As other reviews have said, it doesn't grab all the thicker and longer hairs, but it does a better job of grabbing those than I expected. I don't mind though, as epilation is both a hassle and time consuming, and I find that I have some time left over to tweeze the very few stubborn hairs after removing them with the epilator. ... show more

I don't often post reviews and I'm not easily impressed. My upper lip beauty line options are almost all gone and my mustache is starting to rival my husband's. Just kidding, it's not that bad, but my upper lip hair is definitely like most women's - moderately thick and thin. I tried the facial epilator today and was amazed by the results. It removes upper lip hair and you can tell by the few hairs left on the epilator that it pulls the hairs out from the root as they are very long. Does it hurt? Yes, because it plucks the hair from the root. However, if you're someone who deals with facial hair on a regular basis, either threading, waxing or plucking with tweezers, the level of pain won't make much of a difference. The first time I used it, I took a break and two minutes later I was beardless. After use, I noticed a slight redness on my face. I highly recommend this epilator for all your facial hair needs. ... show more

I've always had a mustache and the older I get, the more "whiskers" I have on my chin (thanks to family genetics). Over the years, I've tried everything to remove or hide this pesky extra adornment on my face. Bleaching, plucking, waxing, waxing, dermabrasion, electrolysis. About 1 month ago, I bought this epilator. I don't know how I lived without it. Decades ago, I bought an epilator to remove leg hair and it was such a painful experience that I pretty much ruled it out. However, I was tired of waxing and plucking so I decided to give this a try. I will never use another hair removal method again. It's fast, effective, and doesn't hurt at all. I'm used to removing hair from the root and although it stings a little, it's over quickly and without any irritation. No more messy hair removal or time consuming plucking. I had laser treatments for facial hair and after having 4 treatments and spending $500, I realized that laser treatments were not for me. Laser treatments were expensive and I had to pluck my hair. I've also tried waxing, and while it's not as expensive as laser, I still have to pluck any missed hairs when I get home. It usually takes me 30 minutes to pluck the hairs on my face. I wanted to try this compact facial epilator and I'm glad I did. I won't lie. The epilation didn't feel good, but the hair on my upper lip and chin is still growing now and it took less than 5 minutes. I just used it for the first time yesterday so I don't know how long it will take for the hair to grow back. I think once I've used it a couple times, I'll get used to it. ... show more

I am very happy with this product. I have a regular epilator with a facial attachment and it doesn't work on my face. The angle wasn't right. But this product is perfect. It works super well, catches hairs easily, and removes facial (upper lip, eyebrows) hair in minutes. Truly one of the best purchases ever. I'm so glad epilators exist. Hair removal is too much of a hassle, it's expensive and messy, you can't shave for a smooth finish, and as a blonde, laser hair removal is even more of a non-starter. If you haven't epilated before, it will hurt at first, but the more you epilate, the less it hurts. The hair follicles will become finer and finer and I think your skin will slowly adapt. I suggest you stick with it, even if it is difficult at first. ... show more
