Okay, so the reason I’m giving 5 stars to these skates is because for the price point they deserve it. They are definitely $50 skates but if you're a beginner & you’re not sure if you can even skate or if you even like the activity then these are the perfect option to get started. One thing I will preface is the size. I’m a size 7 woman so I purchased a size 5 & they fit perfect!! So basically size down 2 shoe sizes & that should be the perfect size. Anyway back to the quality. They come with everything that’s stated on the list and I ended up purchasing a separate pair of ABC CE9 bearings because I just prefer them. I don’t plan on upgrading anything else like wheels or anything like that because I’ve been planning on purchasing a really really really nice pair of skates around Christmas so…… these are what they are and they come with what they say. Other than the tricky sizing they’re pretty self-explanatory so get you some skates and go have some fun!! ... show more

Can't beat the price, especially as beginner in roller derby. I ordered 2 sizes down like suggested in the comments and they fit perfectly. These skates run very big. I am a womens size 7, I was borrowing a pair of size 6 nitros from my team and they were too big. I ordered the size 5 and it was perfect. These are very much NOT true to size. ... show more

I had a difficult time deciding which skates to purchase for my daughter for xmas. I had 3 or 4 different pairs. Im glad I went with these b/c she loves them. They were true to size & look just as they do in the picture. My only issue was that it came w/one set of wheels off, so I had to put them on, but that was easy.     • Tongues of skates slide outta place constantly.

I dont like the way the tongue’s on these skates kept sliding to the sides leaving no protection from the laces scrapping across the top of your feet. I constantly had to readjust the tongues back to the middle. Which meant less skating time. I bought for myself. 51 years old. Met up to go skating. Hadn’t had quads on since I was in my 20’s. The skates rolled smoothly and fast thanks to the ABEC 5 bearings. The boots are still but iit wasn’t a bother compared to the tongue slides. They need to be designed like tennis shoes. They all come with slits that are attached to the tongue then you lace the laces through then and there you have it. No sliding tongues there. ... show more
