Our factory air filter had these little locks that were built into the air filter itself. That threw me off at first but this replacement fits in the same slot very snuggly with no wiggle at all so I'm not concerned about air getting around it. I've included photos for comparison.     • 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe - It DOES fit
I was reading mixed reviews about how this might/might not fit a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. Still, I decided to buy it and give it a go. I asked my brother to put it in for me since he was changing my oil and he told me it didn’t fit. A little disappointed, but also a bit stubborn, I decided to give it a go myself. I took out my old filter and tried to put this one in. It seemed a little bigger than the old one and wouldn’t snap in once I got it in there. I tried every possible orientation, just in case, and still couldn’t get it to click in. For whatever reason, I decided to give it a day and then try again the following day. The filter snapped securely inside on the first try. I’m not sure why it decided right then to fit, but it did and I’ve been happy with it. It could have been user error, but if my brother (a car guy) and me (not a car guy) had a bit of difficulty getting it in, I knocked a star off on the rating for whatever weird design flaw makes this tricky to put in. ... show more

This filter is a perfect fit for my 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. I like to change my engine air and cabin air filters when they start to show dirt, which is about every 20k miles or so (the manual recommends 30k replacement intervals). Even though these filters are a value product, there's no assembly into the existing frame; the frame is included so swapping them out is a two minute affair. ... show more
