These are a good size for someone looking to do a little doodling like I do. I wouldn't advise bringing them around in a bag, as the cardboard front and back are rather thin and flexible, so it would be easy for the whole notebook to be damaged. Having said that, the cardboard front and back are a plain brown, which is easy to decorate however you like (or not at all!) The paper is also good, thick enough to not bleed with standard pens or pencils. When I used some fine liner pens, they did bleed, but only after going over the same spot a few times, and only onto the back of the page it was on, not all the way through to the next. Shading is okay, could be better but could be a lot worse. I was able to do some basic shading and erasing without any issue on the page. All said and done, nice, small notebooks for keeping on a desk. Perfect for when you get a sketch idea but need something small. They could travel well, I'd just be leery of chucking them into a bag and forgetting about them due to the lack of a rigid cover.

These are great for what they are. They are quite small, which is great for my kids to throw in their backpacks so they can draw on the ride to school. They blank front cover also lends itself well to decoration. The cardboard is not terribly thick, so if you are used to a hard backed journal it might take some getting used to.

Bottomline: I bought the 3-pack blank spiral notebook. I have a similar product from my local stationary store and I wanted to compare the differences. Honestly, I'm actually impressed with the quality of the paper and would buy again. I adore the simplicity of kraft cover journals, this one is no exception. I had one similar notebook already and I already notice the differences. One of the key differences is the paper quality. This notebook's paper is able to handle my markers. With the quality of these types of notebooks, my biggest worry is if the paper can handle various types of writing tools such as highlighters and sharpies. I also worry if it can handle my pens because sometimes my pens can be sharp enough to scratch the paper. As I was writing in the notebook itself, it was able to handle all my pens and my highlighter without bleeding through to the next page or absorbing the ink and creating a hole. I tested a sharpie and if I write softly without much pressure, the paper can handle it. I'm shocked. My kraft notebook I buy at the local stationary store that's similar to this one can't compare. This blank notebook is great for journaling, note-taking, and sketching; additionally, it's very lightweight and compact. I would definitely buy again just to keep my stationary inventory well-supplied.

These little notebooks are just the right size to keep in a small bag or purse. They don’t take up a lot of room and are great for journaling, little notes, sketches, etc. Apps are great, but it helps my memory to put pen to paper. These are also perfect to give your kid when you’re waiting for an appointment, and they inevitably announce their boredom.

This set of blank notebooks from EOOUT is a decent value for people who like to use unlined notebooks to jot down quick notes or drawings in pencil or ballpoint pen. For people who only use pencil or ballpoint (especially if they do not press down hard into the page), the paper is easy to write or draw on and erases well. One caution is that the paper is quite thin, so felt-tipped, rollerball, gel, fountain, etc. pens or markers will likely bleed through to the other side. Also, people who write while pressing the pencil or pen deeply into the page will want thicker-paged notebooks. And if you want to use both sides of each page, you may see a shadow of the other side show through.
