Having my first scent collection built around this brand I am a little disappointed in this bottle for the packaging. I am sure it will be fine but when I am paying almost a 10 dollar prememium compared to other favorites they make and this is the one they skip a exta dose of hot glue to hold the cap together and the case is worn for the extra 10 dollars foil skin job... not impressed. ... show more

There are many important aspects when it comes to cologne. First of course is the scent. It needs to have a nice fragrance that is appropriate and pleasant. The potency is important too because an overpowering scent is a problem. Beyond that, longevity is nice so that you do not need to reapply. And lastly comes the presentation of the bottle itself. This English Laundry Crown Cologne Eau de Parfum Spray is quite expensive but does well at providing a high quality product. The bottle is very classy and easy to use. The scent is nice: masculine with citrus top notes and a more woodsy base with hints of pine and cedar. I like this perfume. It has top notes of lemon, grapefruit, apple, leafy greens, and mid-notes of ginger, cardamom, clove, rose, geranium, and lavender, but finally settles into hints of cedar-wood, amber, tonka, and oak-moss as it dries and warms on the skin. In my opinion, it smells best after a few hours, after the top and mid-notes have mellowed or faded, leaving behind the amber and tonka with hints of cedar and oak moss. It's a sensual scent that can be worn by anyone and will draw compliments from all who smell it. I put it behind my ears, the nape of my neck, and in the depths of my decolletage so it follows me wherever I go, and when it fades and mellows, can still be enjoyed from close up by my lover. This arrives in a completely sealed box. After you remove the shrink-wrap, then flip the box open (there is a hinge on the back). Inside you will find a sort of velour interior which seems to connote luxury. The bottle looks nice. It is compact and sturdy in appearance. Now, the cap is very heavy and little cumbersome to remove. Likewise, there is a piece that rattles about in the cap when it is off. The cologne has a nice overall scent. It is spicy with brighter notes that are quieter but present. It is a fairly traditional scent for men. It seems a little geared to someone who is mature and digs a heavier, spicier, classic fragrance. It does have good longevity. My better-half sprayed it in the morning and then when he arrived home in the early evening, I could still smell it. That's nice since it is low-maintenance in this sense. I think any man seeking a classic scent will really enjoy this cologne. Recommended! ... show more

My dad enjoyed using the English Laundry Crown Cologne Eau de Parfum Spray. The scent is slightly sweet with citrusy notes and a combination of warm musky, cedar and amber notes. The cologne have decent longevity, it fades into a lighter, more mellow scent in a few hours. We think it’s great for everyday use, masculine but not too much. The bottle looks great, like a flask. Decent value at $76.50 for a large 3.4 ounce bottle. Makes a great birthday/Christmas gift. ... show more

Every time I've used this English Laundry Crown Cologne Eau de Parfum, I get lots of compliments. It isn't overpowering and lasts for a good while. Even after a long day, it's been noticeable when I take off my shirt.

I almost want to describe this like someone might describe as a wine - with some smells being "long" on the nose pallet, and others "short". It's sort of complex in a way, definitely not cheap smelling. It's not super strong, but it shouldn't be. Dudes should not be smelled across a parking lot. In fact, most of the time, dudes probably don't need any cologne, as trying to cover up bad smells is never successful. To enjoy this, start with a clean "canvas". English Laundry Crown Cologne For me, it’s really hard to tell from the listed notes of a cologne if I will like a cologne or not. Online ordering is the easiest but there still isn’t an equivalent to trying on a cologne in store to see how it smells and wears. The next best thing when online ordering is to read reviews. I took a chance on this based on what little I know about scnet notes and I am so glad that I did. I absolutely love this scent. It is the type of scent notes that I like in a man’s cologne. It reminds me of an updated Polo scent. I always loved Polo but let’s face it, Pollo smells like the 80s. This smells like modern times and the 80s Polo had a love-child. This is definitely a repurchase for me. The scent is not only amazing but lasts a long time. I gotr this for my teen son. He loves it. I’ve warned that repurchases would be at $90.
