Well worth the money

The quality and detail of these models are superb, the fact you can make a complete set in one pour is very convenient. Only issue that we have had is the pawn models are super tight and we have pop the head off a pawn or two demolding the piece but was very easy to glue back on and you can't even tell it happened. Wish all the molds we had where of this quality

Very fragile molds
Color: 32pcs Chess Mold Set
The molds for the pieces are good to very good with the exception of the queen mold. It is very difficult to demold the piece without damaging the mold. The board mold is way too thin. Even after using a good amount of mold release prior to pouring, three areas where the squares are poured ripped. I'll have to replace the board mold now. Update: Seller contacted me directly and offered a refund. Quite unexpected and resolved the situation completely. Overall rating improved.

The molds took practice but the resin worked out. I basically used leftover resin from my other pours to fill the chess āļø pieces. I suppose Iāll experiment with a wood foundation when I pour the chessboard.

Matte finish, not smooth and clear

Not clear. The pieces come out cloudy. I use a pressure pot and am very thorough when I make things. I've never had a brand new set come not come out smooth and shiny. That usually happens after doing quite a few sets.

NOT GLOSSY!!

Disappointing-I need a gloss finish for my sets and the pieces came out matte finish. Nowhere in the description could I find where it says this. Now I have to find a different supplier. My sets sell quickly because they "look like glass" and now I am in a bind.

Mold is dull, not shiny

I have made 2 sets of chess pieces. I understand and can absolutely live with the fact that the small pieces are difficult to demold. However, I was extremely disappointed in the fact that my pieces are more satin finish rather than shiny. I am making this for a Christmas gift and very disappointed in the finish I am getting on this. I see pictures of others pieces and they are very shiny.
