I was in the middle of a big move and start over… and dead winter in SD so negative highs every day and I wasn’t going outside. Scrolled on this and went for it. I’m not yet done but going for a coastal American cowboy effect. Pampas and wild grasses and crystals on driftwood, & wood with metal and earthy elements— this Longhorn piece was on sale and fits perfect on my large wall. I’ll add more around it but would be great on its own or over a moody bedroom. It is a large all metal 3D piece so the skull and horns stick out from the background. It is a little more red in spots which gave it a bit of a gory look at first—but it pulled together with the rusts from my throw blankets and pillows. If you’re needing colors check it’s a deep brick red and blue grey with rubbed/scuffed steel and the skull is mostly a natural/cream with spots of the colors here and there and bits of the metal shining though. I like that the metal shines through in “rubbed” areas it made it just enough iron cowboy for me. Happy with my purchase! ... show more

I couldn’t believe how COOL this was! At first glimpse I thought I made a horrid mistake. When I uttered my uncertainty my husband finished removing the wrapping then we both gasped with surprise!!! I really wanted a longhorn skull for over my bed, but didn’t really love the $800-1k price tag. So I took a chance with this, knowing I may have to return it and bite the bullet on the skull. I am really happy I did. It’s beautiful I gasped when I opened it. It is NOT a painting, it’s a mixed media piece (the barbed wire on the horn is actual wire), for those who didn’t read the description.
