  • Update #2: Replacement has same issue, long read but lots of info.
UPDATE #2: The replacement started experiencing the same issue within a few months. UPDATE #1 & USEFUL INFO: The manufacturer thinks I had a faulty charger and sent me a new one. Initial testing was promising with the charger continuing to trickle charge my phone and watch, as the OEM chargers. For my tests, I used the OEM Samsung fast charging adapter that came with my phone. As a baseline, the OEM Samsung wireless fast charger takes a little less than two and a half hours to charge my phone. From a 0% charge, it took three hours to fast charge my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to 100%. Moving over to the watch, from a 0% charge it also took three hours to fast charge my Samsung Gear S3 Frontier to 100%. Charging both at the same time oddly enough does not increase charging time. With both the phone and watch at 0% they had a 100% charge in 3 hours. This tells me there's a bit of overhead, and it's not fully utilizing the QC adapter. Onto the biggest problem, the dreaded flashing red light and the charger completely shutting down after 100%. It seems like the previous charger had a defect, because the replacement doesn't have this problem. Occassionally if the phone isn't placed just right it will give me a flashing red light after about a half hour, but I've only had this happen a few times, wheras the previous charger did it EVERY TIME. I also tested this with a Samsung Gear S2 when my friend came to visit, and it worked flawlessly. Now when she visits she doesn't have to worry about bringing her charge dock, since the OEM S3/S2 docks are not compatable. I did not test the charge time for the S2, just the functionality. INITIAL REVIEW: I purchased this because I needed a charging dock that not only fast charges my phone (Galaxy S7 Edge) wirelessly but also charged my smartwatch (Gear S3 Frontier). This had the best reviews and I had high hopes at first. It dies wirelessly fast charge my phone, but it's a bit slower than other fast chargers. The problem with the phone charging is that after it reaches 100% it will turn off a little while later, and no longer charge. As anyone that leaves their phone on a wireless charger overnight, this will be useless. Every day I've used this I've woken up to a phone with 40% to 80% battery life depending on what apps are backing up data overnight. If you just wirelessly charge to 100% and take your phone off, this might work for you. But after 100% that's all you get for a charge. Now onto the watch charging. This is the absolute worst part. It takes from a 0% watch charge 4 hours to get to a 100% charge. That's more than twice as long as the OEM charger. A "quick" charge from around 50% is roughly 2 hours whereas with the OEM charger it's normally an hour or less. I never leave my watch on the charger for longer than it needs to be, so I'm not sure if it automatically stops charging and lets the battery drain as it does for the phone, but I'm sure it's safe to assume it does. All in all, this charger isn't worth the price tag. This should be something picked up at a retail outlet for $5 to $10. ... show more

  • Convenient, though with some caveats
This is a very well made product, with some small criticisms. The magnet on the watch stand isn't as good as the OEM Galaxy Watch charger, and the little pegs (used to put a rubber adapter to accommodate the GWA/A2) don't allow the watch to easily drop onto the stand like you can with the OEM charger. Additionally, any time a vibration goes through the surface that I've laid the charger on, it seems to wake up my watch. This is especially annoying at night if I'm reaching over to my night stand to grab a drink, as it'll wake up the watch and sometimes blind me haha. Lastly, the charging pad is great for headphone charging cases, but putting your phone on it is a little finicky. You have to position it just right so that the phone starts charging, and it would be appreciated if the sweet spot was a little larger for less error. Other than those small nitpicks, I really enjoy this device! ... show more

  • Works with Samsung galaxy products with no issues.
I was looking for a product that could charge both my Samsung Galaxy S8+ with an Otterbox case on it and my Galaxy 46mm watch. This did it no issue. Yes it does fast charging. I cannot find any issue with the charger or either device. I did upgrade to a Galaxy Note 10+ and also a thick case on it. Works again without issue. My wife's Galaxy S10 also no issues. I have tested the phone charging with both wired and Samsung Fast charger to see if I could tell any difference. I could not. The charging times seem to be the same. The charging cable that came with it was fine but it did not come with a power adapter, which was fine. I just used my Galaxy cable and power adapter. The only thing that I have noticed, which I have seen with other small wireless chargers, is the placement of the Phone on the pad. You have to realize where to put the phone on there for it to pick up. Thankfully there is a light on there that tells you that it is charging, the phone does too but still is nice. I hope this helps others out. ... show more

  • Very good dual charger
Bought it since I recently purchased a Galaxy Watch, and I didn't want to have multiple chargers for both my phone and watch, so I decided to buy this to eliminate clutter. The build quality is very nice and light, which is good for a 2-in-1 charger. It also doesn't seem to build up too much heat when both devices are charging, which is another plus! While it does advise to take off the phone cover, I find it still charges with and without the it. The only one drawback to this item is the cord. I appreciate it being USB-C, but I found it to be rather short and somewhat flimsy. It is OK to use if an outlet is right by your nightstand or desk, but anything other than that I would personally suggest buying a longer cord. Overall, I would suggest this to anyone who has a smartwatch and a wireless-charging capable phone. It eliminates clutter in the area that would otherwise be taken up by 2 cables, chargers (as in the charging brick), and charging stations. ... show more
