I fell while walking in these booties. I still love them and I am keeping them. I am just going to have to find a way to give my feet more support, such as extra socks and be more careful when stepping down off curbs. I am 57 and my ankles are weak anyway due to health reasons. They look really good with jeans and skirts, whatever you want to wear them with. If you have a slim ankle, they will not hug it. Goes again to support for narrow legged people. I will find cute fill-ins for that area. If you are like me with problem ankles, I would not risk getting these because of the heels on them and lack of support. If your ankles and calves are strong, you will enjoy these boots very much. I also think the boots are good quality. One only had a mild scuff mark from my fall. The boots faired much better than I did. š I recommend these boots for people with medium to wide feet. If you have narrow feet, be prepared to have to fill in the boot to have a more snug fit. It would be nice if this boot came in 1/2 sizes. I went up a size and it was a half size to much.

I wear a size 8.5 but I always get a 9 in boots. I received these boots promptly and really liked the style. They did not look like cheap fake leather. My only problem was that the size 9 was a very small 9. My toes were hitting the tip of the shoe. They would've never worked for me. I wish they had half sizes so I ordered a size 10. Never in my life have I worn a size 10 but they seem to fit. They're a bit bigger but I can still rock these! I would have given them a 5 rating but the sizing was off.

The shoes are cute, but they run small. I am normally a size 8 1/2 to 9, ordered a size 9, and they are too small. They are very wide around the ankle, I also have very narrow ankles. They are cute though

These have to be the most poorly designed shoes Iāve ever worn. They are somehow too small and too big all at once, Iām someone who can put up with a lot of pain when it comes to shoes, but I had these on not even 5 minutes before the tongue of the boots had rubbed my skin raw to the point of bleeding (through wool socks). They didnāt even look good because they are so large through the ankles that they sag. Props to you if you can put up with these but I will be returning them and investing in a proper pair elsewhere.

I like these boots. š They run a tad small- if youāre between sizes, definitely size up. If you have short toes and sturdy ankles/calves, this is the best you can hope for, when it comes to Victorian style boots, short of having a pair custom made. If you have long toes and slim ankles/calves, these boots will not fit you right (or at all- not much room in the toe box). Wear black socks with these, as there is some dye transfer. They are synthetic, but they look and feel like mid-range leather. They have a faint polyurethane scent, but not bad at all. Rounded toe, medium width, comfortable heel height. Best feature is the sculpted āgranny heelā, so they look best from the side, rather than from the top. I do recommend them, if your foot and ankle/calf fits the right parameters for this boot.:) Please note they do have a zipper, which is a manner of closure not invented until 1914, and therefore not available to the public until after the Victorian/Edwardian era, but it isnāt easy to notice it under the long skirts of that period style.
