Super Secure & Feather‑Light – Ideal for My 950 ml Bottles on Rough Roads

I’ve lost too many 950 ml bottles over the years—some on rough pavement, others mid-race—and it gets expensive fast. I needed a bottle cage that could actually hold large bottles in place, without rattling loose after every bump. After seeing this one used in the pro peloton, I decided to try it—and now I get why. Right out of the box, the look impressed me. It’s sleek and minimal but has an aggressive, high-end design that doesn’t scream for attention. It blends perfectly with my matte black frame and just looks like it belongs on a race bike. Functionally, it nails everything I need: • Holds my 950 ml bottles super securely—even over cobblestones and broken pavement • Light enough that I didn’t even notice a change in weight on the scale • Smooth enough that bottles go in and out mid-ride without a struggle I’ve ridden this on 6-hour rides, over chipseal, gravel, and urban chaos, and I haven’t lost a bottle once. Value-wise, it punches above its weight. You’d expect to pay more for something this light, this grippy, and this clean-looking. Compared to other premium cages I’ve tried (some twice the price), this one simply works better. That’s why I bought a second one and set up auto-delivery in case I ever need another. Accessibility is solid too: I’m not a pro mechanic—just a weekend rider with decent tools—and installation was quick. The only thing I’d note is that you have to play a bit with bolt tension to get the optimal flex; once set, it’s perfect. Final verdict: if you ride with bigger bottles, train on rough surfaces, or just want a cage that looks sharp and performs flawlessly—this is the one to get.

Holds bottles very tight

Bought this because the color scheme went well with the bike. Putting it through a few weeks of use, I do like them. They hold bottles very tight so I never worry about them falling out. Downside is that you need to work to get them out, so they may not work in a group ride where your focus needs to be on those around you.

Good, but wish they ended flush

Good lightweight cages. The one flaw is that the bottle doesn't go to the bottom of them. For rear bottles in a triathlon this requires mounting the actual bottles a bit farther rearward than I would like.

Lightweight, secure my bottles, and look great on the bike.

Cages are probably the most foolish component to spend time worrying about. And yet I found myself researching them far longer than is rational for something whose exclusive performance expectation is to go unnoticed, and probably look "good". I had been running Arundel Dave-O gloss white carbon cages which checked all the performance boxes when I purchased them: expensive (faster for sure), light weight, and matched the bike's branding (seemed like a good idea at the time). I recently purchased a stealth carbon wheelset, and the bright white was quite loud. I wanted something more subtle. I had wanted all black, but selected gray because the sellers black appeared to have a sort of grayish blue color. There's actually so little gray it's unnoticeable to me. In the end, I'm very satisfied with the appearance on my frame (primarily black with blue trimmings and white branding). For performance: the best endorsement is I hardly notice them. I use mostly QBP Purist bottles. The bottles stay secure, and I can grab a bottle easily when I need it. Compared to the Arundel, they're about 10 grams lighter and $30 - $40 dollars cheaper. As far as durability goes, I've managed about 1000 miles since purchase...probably more than 100 grabs of a water bottle...without causing damage. And even with the Winter filth they accumulate, they still clean up great.

Both cages broke right away

I bought two of these at the same time; one broke on first ride and the second on the ride after. I’ve had to tape them until I can get another pair. Really disappointed and upset.
