We like this screen. It’s very quick and convenient to pull down and roll back up. I have it suspended from the ceiling away from the wall. You may need additional hardware for that to make sure that it doesn’t fall on your head. My biggest problem with this screen was shipping. I had to order it three times and still I was not happy with the final attempt. The first one was completely MIA. I don’t know if it was ever shipped at all. I waited forever with no progress and then gave up and reordered. The second one was sent back by the UPS after it fell apart on the delivery truck. I never even saw it but had a conversation later with our delivery guy. The third one finally made it to our house, but the package looked bent and cracked in the middle and the screen casing has a dent in that place. It doesn’t affect the performance and I decided to keep it since it had been so much hassle to have it delivered, yet it’s definitely disappointing that these screens can’t seem to make it to the destination in one piece and without any damage. ... show more

I got this screen to put up in my basement. I plan to use it for the occasional movie or video game played from my Epson Pro EX9210 projector. The screen arrived without any damage to the packaging but when I got it unpacked I noticed that the metal housing looked twisted, you could tell because the ends were out of line with each other. I don't believe this was from shipping but how it was at the time of its manufacture. I found that you could easily twist the housing so I am hoping that once hung it straightens itself out after a while. I put the screen up by buying some screw eyes, S-hooks, and about a foot of chain. The screen didn't line up with the floor joists so I put the screw eyes in the joists and attached the chain with S-hooks. I then hooked the screen to the chain with more S-hooks. It worked out pretty well. Yeah, the screen stunk like everyone complains about but it seems to diminish over time. I like that the screen has a slow retract feature but it could be 2x to 4x faster than it is. It retracts very slowly; so slow that I thought the screen was broke and wouldn't retract at first. In the end, my projections look good on it and I am overall happy with it considering the price. If I have any problems down the road I'll be sure to come back and update my review. ... show more

I’ll admit, after reading many reviews on many different screens I was beginning to feel as though there were no good quality screens short of shelling out a ton of money. But this screen is perfect, no wrinkles and easy to set up. It’s just 2 bolts with anchors or 2 rings if you are mounting it on your ceiling. Easy to pull down on roll back up and had a great quality picture, I would definitely recommend this screen to others. So what I’d like to tell those looking for a screen and getting frustrated because it seems like every screen has reviews saying it was a waste of money, this screen is exactly what I was looking for and is worth buying. ... show more

*Update* Finally after 6 months, I was able to get a replacement screen. Don’t bother with the their online customer service. Call them. — This broke in less than a year. Whatever keeps it from unrolling broke. Since Elite Screens says it has a two year warranty, I e-mailed them. They said my model is not in stock (which it is on Amazon), and they’d get it to me in a few months. I followed up and e-mailed them again, and there was no response. Fast forward 6 months later, I e-mailed them again and contacted them through their “contact us” page. My e-mail bounced back because either 1) Jaime their customer service person doesn’t work there anymore or 2) the company doesn’t exist anymore. Or 3) they just have spotty customer service. Other than that the screen is nice and mine doesn’t have any wrinkles like the other reviews. It’s sturdy and heavy. ... show more

This is like the versions your teacher used to have in class. Simple pull down version that locks in several positions. I have it outside and on windy days you have to secure it but that was expected when I bought it. It is pretty sturdy and exactly what I expected when I purchased it.
