  • Great Mic for everything.
Style: Microphone Size: Wave DX
This mic is one of the best I’ve had so far and I’ve had quite a few. They build is nice and quality is amazing. Only thing I didn’t like at first was how it did pick up my clicking and clacking from my keyboard when I streamed but after adding some noise suppression it worked better than expected. Really clear and krisp mic. ... show more

  • Has no right to sound this good for the price.
Style: Microphone Size: Wave DX
Adds a nice bassy sound to your voice. Extremely competitive with the Shure SM7B that every unoriginal podcaster uses. Well designed. Not cheaply made. Mount friendly. Highly recommend and save yourself the trouble of sifting through a variety of $300+ mics that need a lot of tuning and EQ. Amazing noise rejection so you can be in a loud untreated room and no one will know. Well suited for gaming in VC. ... show more

  • The best Microphone for Content Creators
Style: Microphone Size: Wave DX
I have been creating content on YouTube for over 8 years. I have spend an arm and a leg on Microphones over the years. The elgato Wave DX has been the very best by far. The sound quality is second to none. For me, the most important thing is noise cancelation as I record in an empty room where there is a lot of echo and reverb. This mic records clear voice and cancels all the noise without any degradation in voice (no robotic voices) It just works out of the box. The only thing that I didn't like is the fact that it can't be fit on desk. You must have some sort of table mount for the mic. Other than that, the best mic I have ever owned. ... show more

  • Does the job
Style: Microphone Size: Wave DX
Pros: - Is square and looks neat - Sounds (APPARENTLY) as good, if not a little better, than my Samson GTrack Pro (based on friends feedback) - Solidly built - Boom arm/mic stand screw-in adapter is nice to have Cons (nothing major): - Doesn't come with it's own xlr cable - Barebones starter mic so no on-mic controls of any kind like you'd find on a Shure, and again no xlr cable ----------------- My only personal gripe is it is too powerful for my craptop i guess. All my audio dies frequently when using the mic and the interface it's plugged into. Might be the interface (an MAudio Solo), might be the mic, might be the craptop. But yeah that's neither here nor there, i spose. The mic is great regardless 👍🏽 ... show more

  • DX MIC DOES NOT WORK WITH "UNIVERSAL AUDIO INTERFACES" ELGATO WAVE LINK NOT DETECTING MIC!
Style: Microphone Size: Wave DX
So I do recording, studio, sound enginnering videos. I have an "Universal Audio UAD Appolo Twin" Audio Interface. I thought I would get the Elgato DX to use in WAVE LINK to be able to control with my Stream Deck and as well connect it to my Universal Audio UAD Appolo twin and use it as the "talkback" microphone for studio sessions. HOWEVER, Things did not turn out as I expected. I recieved the DX microphone, connected it into my Universal Audio Interface, my Universal Audio softwear got input and it works as the "talkback" microphone like I wanted, BUTTTTTT the Elgato Waves LINK softwear is not detecting the DX microphone at all, so I can't use it for streams, or control it from my stream deck or for recordings in OBS as I wanted . This Microphone is advertised to work with ANY XLR interface, and Universal Audio Interfaces are among the BEST audio interfaces on the market and used in major recording studios. The fact that when the DX is connected to the UA Interface ELGATOS OWN SOFTWEAR does not recognize the microphone is baffaling. How in the world is this being advertised to content creators as a " WORKS WITH ANY XLR INTERFACE." as stated on their Elgato website on the DX Microphone page. If I wanted a microphhne just to use as a "talkback" microphone I would of purchased other / better microphoens on the market. The simple fact that I purchased this microphone and Elgatos own WAVE LINK softwear does not recognize the microphone makes this microphone useless in the Elgato streaming infulstructure . I have tweeted at Elgato about this issue, and sent emails to get support for this issue, that my UA interface recognizes theirs a mic and I have input from it BUT Elgatos own WAVE LINK softwear does not recognize the DX microphone being connected. but have yet to get a response from Elgato. They clearly are marketing this DX microphone like this to forse people to purchase their Elgato XLR audio interface, but I refuse. My $1300 Universal Audio audio interface is great and does what I want it to do, so Elgato should get their WAVE LINK softwear to work correctly and recognize the DX microphone. This is absolutely rediclouius . I have reached out by email, and through twitter to Elgato support and have yet to get an answer for why the WAVE LINK softwear is not recognizing the microphone. If they cannot get this issue fixed, I will be returning this microphone as I will not be forced to buy their WAVE XLR interfaace, when I already have an amazing audio interface. Plus, If I DID get the Elgato Wave XLR interface, HOW IN THE WORLD WILL I WORK OUT OFF TWO DIFFERENT AUDIO INTERFACES AT THE SAME TIME! Elgato softwear WAVE LINK needs to work in order to have shortcuts on the streamdeck and able to stream / record but it DOES NOT WORK WITH THE DX MICROPHONE with a Universal Audio interface! ... show more
