I bought this board bag for a trip to lake Tahoe so I needed something that hold up to TSA's abuse. It's a solid bag for the money I over packed the bag and all the stitches held and the zipper hasn't blown out. The strap that came with the bag has cheaper quality clips but they haven't broke yet (I did bring a set of heavy duty carabiners to replace the hooks just in case). My synopsis is this, you're probably not going to find a better board bag for under $40. If I flew with my board more often I would have spent more and got something that was padded and had rollers but for a one time flight and something that I'll just use when I drive to the mountain this is a great bag. ... show more

My 144 board fit just right with sooo much extra room, 5 hats, two pairs of snowboard boots, two huge ski coats, gloves, goggles, and there is still more room with two empty pockets. I have yet to board my flight but I/m sure it will be fine. (maybe over 50lbs) but probably not. Be sure to add a lock to the zipper so the seal stays tight. This product does exactly what I need it to do, hold a protect my board. The bag itself isn't super thick or hefty but it will protect your board from getting beat up in the car. Better yet, the bag allows easy travel and it won't scratch the interior of your car while journeying to the lodge.
