This is a dark burgundy color, which is what I was looking for. Glad I ordered king size for our queen sized adjustable bed. But the pillow shams are also king size so you need to make adjustments if you need queen sized instead. One side of the bedspread is soft and velvet like. The other side is white sherpa. Love this blanket it's super comfortable but I live in central NY and it was 27° outside we lost power for almost 24 hours!!! My son and I snuggled up under this blanket (had a 2nd one on hand just incase) we didn't need the second one had to turn the propane heater off we were nice and warm under this blanket highly recommend for anyone in cold climates ... show more
