Got this to better compliment a new headboard. The quilt is "okay" but nothing great. The fabric is standard material but is not particularly soft. My only big gripe is that the shams are not really "reversible" as indicated - when turned inside-out to use the "reverse side", the borders outside of the edging are lost and only one of the two shams had matching material, the the other was coarse and a completely different shade, so reversing as a matched set is useless. Because I wash new bedding before use, I cannot return the product so will need to donate or re-purpose. This product is good enough for a guest room, etc., and looks okay for the "main" color ordered, but in hindsight I would not buy again and would pay a little more for better quality, which I wound up doing anyway. ... show more

I ordered the burgundy but it’s actually red. Amazon picture is not true color no matter what lighting you use. My picture shows burgundy sheet (upper left) with this “burgundy” bedding. This bedding does not match my bedroom decor which is burgundy and gray. I ordered a king size for my queen bed and was able to wash it in a washer with agitator so bedding is not real heavy or thick. ... show more

It's a nice set, but the comforter really isn't that soft. Definitely not warm but I guess people don't use it for a cover anyway. This thing does attract fur, so if you have animals you may want something with different material. Overall, I think it is nice and is of decent quality.

Not too fond that it arrived with some white dirt or dust. Fabric was a little rough. I didn't want to put on my bed so I put it on a spare - it's large (cal king) and I like the color, and I like the pillow covers. But I will have to wash it and dry it and that will take some time. Got this as part of our bedroom redecorating. Thought these were more burgundy and would have matched our new teal curtains but instead made it look like Christmas, changing the curtains to emerald and the comforter to ruby. We'll use this in our guest room but need to find a different one for the bedroom we're working on. The comforter itself is made nicely and stitching looks good, no problems washing but it's still early. It's on the stiffer side which we prefer. We've been redoing our bedroom recently and I have spent hours upon hours searching for a burgundy coverlet that was stitched instead of stamped and not terribly expensive. I was thrilled when this item came up. We've been using it for several weeks now and love it. It's not too hot, not too heavy, but provides just the right amount of warmth. It is so soft and comfortable and seems well made. I'm not worried about it falling apart anytime soon! I washed and dried it without any problem. The only things that could be seen as flaws or defects is that first of all, it isn't truly reversible. Yes, you could flip it over, but the shams aren't quilted on the backside and there is still a border of the top color (in my case, burgundy) around the edges of the coverlet. Secondly, if you look closely, some of the stitching of a different color thread is pulled through in some places. (E.g. the gray thread from the backside is visible in places on the burgundy side. This isn't obvious unless you're closely inspecting it, so I don't think it's a deal-breaker. But with the price as affordable as it is, and considering how well-made the coverlet and shams seem to be, I think this is still a 5-star item.
