I was looking for new bedding and thought a cover was a better option, since my current comforter isn't that old. I have to be honest and admit that I have zero idea how to put these on - I needed king size, and slipping (more like stuffing) a king sized comforter into the cover is not as easy as putting a pillow case on. I grabbed 1 corner at a time and stuffed them into the cover, then I stood on my bed and shook it until it seemed to look ok. This review is for the king duvet cover set, navy blue. Color matched what was shown. Be aware that this is made of synthetic fiber, not 1500 thread count Egyptian cotton - that's some sneaky advertising - but I knew that before I ordered it. Material is nice and soft to the touch, doesn't feel rough or cheap like some "microfiber" products. Doesn't have ties in the corners to hold the duvet in place, but my duvet didn't have loops anyway so no big deal. I used little safety pins to secure the corners of the duvet to the inner seam, has worked fine so far. I did notice a few flaws in the stitching, but nothing major. I would have preferred a zipper closure to the buttons and flap - you can never get the flap to stay over the buttons properly - but for this price I'm not going to complain too much. ... show more

This set is not cotton, nor did I expect it to be. This is fine if you are using the cover to just protect a duvet and using the shams as accent pillows. I would not purchase this set if I were planning to use the duvet cover like a top sheet and actually sleep on the pillows. I have cotton sheets and pillow cases for that purpose. I have a cotton quilted bedspread set on the bed. I fold the duvet cover down and let it sit on the bottom quarter of the bed over the spread. If someone is cold s/he simply pulls the duvet up for extra warmth. For this purpose, this set is indeed perfect and inexpensive. ... show more

I really like the softness and the look of this duvet cover. I would have given 5 stars but it had a few marker type stains on it which did not wash out. I am keeping it as I flipped it over and the other side is perfect. Would but again and pray that there were no stains. I ordered king size and it fits appropriately. ... show more

For the price, this is a great set! However, the vivid stripes in the photo do not match the actual blanket -- the stripes are virtually indistinguishable.
