This works very well and i love that it has 3 speeds. When I received it, it was already charged 100% and it doesn't take long to charge. What I really like is the storage part that holds the lint stays on unlike my older one. The quality is very good and sturdy, it is worth buying. Let me tell you a little bit about what I’ve learned about pilling. There are long fibers and short fibers. Higher quality garments are made with longer fibers and lower quality are made with shorter. The shorter fibers quickly start to poke out, and the ends of them rub and make little balls. Voila, pilling. The only way to remove pilling is to pull or snip off the end of that fiber. The fibers are already short, so eventually you are going to end up with thin spots or holes. So, you either live with the pills or you keep removing them until there just are holes and you throw away the item. The way any electric pill razor works is the fan sucks the end of the pokey fibers up into the device, where the spinning razor blades snip off the ball on the end. This is MUCH better than pulling on the fiber by hand. Eventually, ANY pill remover, electric or a razor etc, will create thin spots or holes - simply because you are removing part of the garment. If you leave a negative review because you ended up with a hole, you need to blame the cheap garment and not the fabric shaver. The holes on the surface of the device are TEENY, so it can’t suck large portions of your item into the spinning razor. It can only suck in the teeny tiny ends of the short fibers that have pills on the end. In a dream world, we would all have the $$$ to buy high quality garments and we’d never have this issue. In the meantime, let’s enjoy our cheaper items and keep them looking like new. This electric fabric shaver is 10/10. Worked perfectly on my sweater. The container that held the pills puffy ends of fibers was easy to remove and empty. My sweater looks perfect. How many times will I be able to do this before my sweater dies? No idea. But I would rather remove the pills and have my sweater looking nice! Forgive the terrible before photos. I had a really hard time getting a photo in focus that showed the pills. ... show more

I bought the Electrolux Rechargeable Fabric Shaver to clean up pilling on my couch and it completely transformed it. It went from dull and fuzzy to smooth and almost brand new in just a few minutes. Super easy to use, lightweight, and I love that it’s rechargeable with a battery display. The different speed settings are a nice touch, and it removes lint/pills quickly without damaging the fabric. Wow! Like others, I had bought first a cheap one at the W store, and then another upgraded version there thinking it would be better. But nothing compares to this little beast! The price is well justified. I have extremly sensitive skin, and when my clothes get pills inside of the seams or anywhere against my skin, the irritation is intense! This machine takes them all away, and fast. Even delicate fabric like thin elastic spandex that wireless bras these days are made of can be completely made new by swiping this across it, without any damage! If there is any drawback, it would be one minor improvement. There is only one button, so you need to cycle through the speed settings to turn it off. I would love a separate OFF button. That's just me, I hate the extra clicking of the button when I'm in a hurry in the mornings. Like I said, minor. As others have noted, the length of time this shaver holds a charge is incredible! I have charged it only once since purchasing it weeks ago, and I use it daily. On top of all the great features, they knocked it out of the ballpark and truly combined form with function. This shaver is really nice to look at and also very, very comfortable in the hand. I have full control, and no slipping or sliding while using it (unlike the other types I had bought). The cap cover is also a great addition, although I often forget it's there and start to shave with it on (duh), because it's so well integrated into the design. Lastly, the lint cup is so smart... it's translucent, so you can see how much it catches and when you need to empty it. As well, it's attached securely, so no popping off while using it. I wish I'd found this years ago, honestly, and cannot recommend it enough. It would also make a perfect gift for anyone, seriously, since it makes clothes look brand new each time.
