Been doing ceramic work for six years, always firing at a shared studio because home kilns felt out of reach. This one changed that. Heats up fast – I timed it at just under 18 minutes to reach 900°C, which is genuinely impressive for a unit this size. The four-sided heating makes a real difference compared to a single-element kiln I borrowed once – glaze results have been noticeably more even. Internal chamber is compact but fits everything I need for small batch work. One thing to know: the door seal gets very hot during firing, learned that the hard way. Keep your hands clear and you're fine.

Run a small ceramics workshop and picked this up as a supplemental kiln for student test pieces and small projects. Consistent results across different clay bodies, which matters when students are learning to troubleshoot their own work. Digital controls are simple enough that students pick them up quickly without much instruction. One practical issue: we've had to remind students repeatedly that the exterior gets warm during long firing cycles – nothing dangerous, but worth building into your safety briefing if you're using this in a teaching environment. Has held up well through regular weekly use over three weeks. Only thing is we've had to remind students about the warm exterior more times than I expected – apparently it needs to be said more than once.
