This scooter is fantastic for commuting medium to short distances and is a great, smooth ride. This scooter is advertised as being more lightweight and portable than most electric scooters so please keep in mind the battery life is what is exchanged for that. That being said, I (160lbs) can ride it around at high speeds up and down small hills for 45 mins and only have the battery drop about one fourth. So I think it does a great job at keeping a good battery life and being more portable than other scooters. I hate to complain about this, but it was still heavier to carry than I expected and is awkward to carry. It doesn't have any sort of case or handle to carry it with so it's easier to just scoot it until you need to fold it up and put it away rather than carry it. Other electric scooters I have ridden don't really allow you to manually scoot with your legs, but when you're not pressing the lever to drive it, you can actually pretty easily scoot like a regular, nonelectric scooter which is great for tight situations. This scooter has 3 different modes that allow different speeds but I keep it on sport mode which allows for the full range and the top speeds (15mph). It has a lot of kick to it and speeds up easily. It operates very quietly. The wheels are sturdy and have some decent shocks. I also love that the scooter has a headlight for nighttime driving! I've never seen that before and it is an awesome safety feature! I do like the locking/unlocking system to fold it up or down. The red lever at the base of the handle stalk is the lock and can be easily pressed, but feels like a very sturdy lock. I wouldn't ever expect that this could be pressed by accident while riding as it is out of the way. This scooter uses a "slow down" button for a brake which is basically just a brake that stops you a little more slowly so you don't go flying over the handlebars. It still stops you quite quickly and you can always put your foot down or use the manual brake on the back wheel if needed. Very impressed with this little powerhouse! ... show more

    • Nice Scooter but Weak Battery
This is a lot of fun but no way do I get 12/15 mile range on it. I'm a bit over 200lbs and was only able to get about 5 miles total range on it. Pros: + Quality. I was actually impressed with the build quality. Very nice overall + Ride: smooth and consistent + Display: very intuitive and gives info on speed, battery, top speed setting, headlights, and lock. + App gives you a lot of options to change: acceleration, braking, top speed + Head and tail lights: can turn on/off with a single press of the power button + Folding: easy to fold/unfold and has a safety lock + Packaging: came well packaged and undamaged. + Setup: simple - just screw in the handles, attach bell, check that brakes are good (you may need to adjust them, I didn't). + Tools: Comes with toolkit for adjustments + Price - competitive price for a delivered electric scooter Cons: - Batteries: Even after a full charge, I only got about 5 miles on this. This cost a star - Weak motor: it struggled up even small hills with me on it (little over 200lbs) - Locking: there is none. You can "lock" it in the app, but anyone else with the app can come up and unlock it. So the electronic locking is worthless. So you'll need a chain lock for the back wheel if you leave it anywhere. Overall, not perfect but for this price it's a really nice scooter. Honestly if the range was the advertised 12/15 miles, I would give it 5 stars. ... show more

    • Exactly as advertised, and a great value!
I recently got a very high end scooter for myself because I use it nearly every day and I'm pretty big (6'5" and 215lbs). I decided to get this one for my wife who's smaller and uses it a lot less often and it is less than 1/2 the price of the other one. It's great! The wheels are a bit small, so gravel, bumpy roads and debris can be felt pretty strongly. It goes pretty quickly in top sport mode (around 12 mph), but can struggle going uphill. It strangely doesn't have a handbrake, but has a slowdown button. I've never had a scooter with that before. It has some cool features. You can turn on cruise control or turn it off. You can choose regular speed (and battery life), higher speed (S) and even higher speed (red S). To get to 12 mph, you have to choose the red S which eats battery pretty heavily. It also has a headlight. My wife and I went on a drive around our neighborhood and she liked it a lot. The only problem was, in top speed (red S) mode, we only went maybe 5 miles and it was nearly empty for the battery. Also, on some hills, it basically stopped (lower than 1 mph) so she had to use her foot to move it. I guess if we go on longer rides, she'll have to lower the speed and stick with 8-9 mph. Overall, for the price, it's WAY nicer than I expected. I wish it had just a little power and a little longer lasting battery. I would definitely recommend this, though, as I think it's probably the nicest option at this price point. ... show more

I had it charging for 10ths even though it said it only takes 3-4hrs……..I rode for about 1hr b4 it started slowing down and when I turned it on it was low battery on 9% already…..HOW
