I use this to hoist my jeep top off and set it on its cart. Works great honestly impressed. Most of the jeep specific hoisest are double or triple the price in most cases. The online thing I would want different is better mountimg instructions. I spent over an hour plus at lowes trying to find the right bars and some of the ones that look right are $50 bucks on their own. I still don't know if I got the right thing but it works

Works great for removing / installing fifth wheel hitch. Ordered the channel iron and the rollers that mount to the winch and it works exactly as I had hoped. Hitch weighs about 550 lbs and with the line doubled, it lifts it without any issues. It does only have one speed which is pretty fast.

It was great, till it wasn’t. Lifting something way in chart for this unit and it started grinding, popping and stopped working all together. Load weight was about 45-50 lbs. machine capacity, 300 according to the manual

Installed this lift for my Jeep hardtop. Mounted motor in the attic and put small hole in overhead Sheetrock plus added a 4" PVC union in the hole for the hook to traverse up and down with the remote provided.

I bought this primarily to remove a well pump. Pump and pipe weighted about 220 lbs. Though the hoist probably could lift it without the additional pulley, we used the pulley to reduce the speed as we were lifting in 4' increments. It was still a little faster than I would have preferred. The brake stopped it cold when not lifting. The manufacture might consider adding a soft start to make lifting more smooth. I am anxious to put this on a track and move it to the garage as it will come in handy for lifting things into the back of my truck. For the price it is hard to beat...
