This is a well made truck inside and out. It travels fast, but not too fast so you don't have to worry about your child getting hurt. It takes about 30 minutes to assemble and everything is easy to install. The battery is very durable. The battery comes in a box. The car is well constructed with slow, fast and reverse functions. My son is only 5 and he can already drive this go-kart with ease. I think these recommendations are for 8-12 year olds, but my son fits perfectly and he is only 40 inches tall. We have not had any problems with it. It charges well and the battery lasts a long time. I rode it for over an hour. But the battery still worked fine and drifted well as described and needless to say, my son quickly learned how to get the rear wheel to drift around sharp corners.
