  • Nice drum set for this price point!
The media could not be loaded. The video includes sounds from all pre-set drum sounds. Read on for details but the short version is this is a good sounding set with good feel for this price range. Pros: tension adjustable heads help give the feel of an acoustic set. The sensitivity can be adjusted to minimize sound triggers caused by vibrations. Sound can be customized with reverb and other features. Cymbals and snare pad have dual zones with good response. Bass drum pedal responds nicely. Audio input and output (plug these into an amp!), headphone jack, extra cymbal Jack if you care to add a second crash (not included) and output to plug into a computer for recording. Cons: a seat is not included (but that would increase cost, of course!). Set up may take a bit to get things where you want them and cymbal placement is limited to the corner posts. They do, however, have short boom arms to expand those placement options. Bass drum pad may move around on someone who plays heavy-footed and may need to place a heavy object in front. In conclusion, keep in mind this is not in a professional quality price range. However, for the cost, this is a great set! ... show more

  • So. Bummed.
I really was ready to give this kit 5-stars. No joke. Really really. I’d been having a blast!! And had previously researched for months, kits like Roland and Yamaha and even Alesa, looking new and used…anything for a decent kit with the right response, sound, and physical feedback. So much research! No joke when I tell you I thought I found an absolutely GEM with this set. I settled on this budget piece, but it blew me away: responding like kits 5x the price, with double taps, rim sounds, cymbal grabs…. Downsides be danged! (I was a little disappointed when I realized none of my programmed tones/feedback settings could be retained when the unit was unplugged or even simply turned off (yikes…what the heck! Such a HUGE bummer to reset every setting, every single time I played, when honestly seems like a couple AA batteries could have done the trick). But alas. I continued on. I was SO MUCH MORE than impressed. This kit has been SO MUCH FUN! Natural/sensory feedback, customized sounds/sensitivity, threshold ranges, etc. This set was more than I could have expected, even with having to re-set the tones Every. Single. Time. It was an awful chore, but I played. And whatever: all the sensory feedback made it play like kits 10x the price! But last night it completely died on me. DEAD. DONE. GONE. <sob> DEAD. Out of the blue. Yes, five months into my joyful purchase (and right in the middle of a very satisfying drum session), suddenly: no connection from the power module. No lights. No sound. No response. Everything went dark and dull. I hadn’t even touched anything near the module, but it was dead and gone. I tried multiple replacement plugs and got a few tiny, intermittent bursts of responsiveness, but nothing more than a few milliseconds of power light. Dead beyond dead. I’m over 40. I take care of things. I’ve treated this kit with the most professional of kid gloves (the plastic cover on the module is still intact!). I even exchanged the headset when it stopped working for me, and I dealt with all the maddening loss/resets of my pre-programmed settings every time I unplugged the kit to fold it aside. Maddening! That aspect alone was even less sophisticated than the memory from a 1989 cordless phone answering machine, and made me angry; but I dealt with it because of the great deal this kit was overall, and how great it sounded. No more. Alas, in the middle of my session last night, the brain cable completely cut out. A few twists here and there gave me flickers of light and false hopes, but alas: NOTHING. Now I am researching kits 10x the price, and am angry I ever fell for this scam. I’m honestly so disappointed. This kit was really out-performing anything I might need from the higher end Roland options I was comparing for weeks and months. But this literally covered all those bases and more for 1/10th the price!! I was so sold. And then it died. T__T I’m beyond devastated. I feel thrown for a loop and manipulated after several months of solid enjoyment. My routine has come to a standstill. I don’t even know what to say. I tried to reach out to the brand, but could get no response. Just devastated. 😭 If I hear anything back from the manufacturer, will update. But as of now, just ultimate heartbreak. All my practice routines have stopped while I start to budget $$$ for a new kit. I feel like a fool. Was really just happy with the one I had! Seems ridiculous to have to start over. But a dead kit is not only useless, but devastating to the momentum that I had built in my sessions. Honestly worse than if it had never worked at all. 😭 Fix your product, please. This is all just a shame… ... show more

  • Amazon Price Scam
Amazon raised the price on Prime Day just to lower it, a few days later. Drums are great, but this is some sort of price manipulation tactic!

  • Beginner Drummer loving the look, bounce, and convenience of this set!
UPDATE: I've had these drums a few months now and I LOVE them. I've been playing a ton. I've learned that they sound GREAT with headphones or the higher quality amp I added, so ignore the original comment about drums not being deep enough. They are AWESOME! I've also been learning to use the songs to play along and it's so fun. The drumsticks are fine, very light - I find I prefer heavier hickory. But these drums are so great! I just love them. ORIGINAL REVIEW I’m a novice guitar player, but recently I’ve been adding percussive sounds to my guitar playing, which made me realize that I might enjoy drumming also. So I decided to play with an electric drum pad. I got just a small, 4 pad lap sized kit. It was sort of fun, but just not the experience of drumming that I’ve seen, so instead, I decided to get this full electric drum kit, and I’m loving it so far! Though, a drummer I am not. :P As a BEGINNER DRUMMER, I thought I’d share some thoughts. SUMMARY: Overall, I am really enjoying this kit. It is really fun to have so many drums to learn on. Of course, it includes a kick (bass), a snare, three toms, a high hat (with pedal), and two cymbals (crash and ride). This is one of the less expensive full electric kits, so I wondered about the build quality and stability – but it is great! This is a great kit and I’m already enjoying it (had it almost a week). It was easy to assemble, is really sturdy (you can hit it hard and really have fun!), it looks great, and it pushes into the corner easy because of how “foldy” it is. It is nearly silent without an amp – about as much noise as you’d get drumming on a pringles can. I’ve been using mine with a small practice amp from my guitar that just plugs right in and is battery powered. I also tried it with headphones and it works great. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to give drums a try, or needs a space saving practice set. ASSEMBLY When I opened the box it was a bit daunting because the box was full of other boxes (see pictures). But each box is clearly labeled, so I took it one step at a time. I unloaded and stacked all the smaller boxes, then took out the “stand” box. The directions start with step 1 (the kick drum). But look just BEFORE step 1, and you see the assembly chart for the stand. Do that first. It is basically a big pipe style frame with all types of brackets to hold the pieces (see picture). It was SUPER easy to assemble. You just look at the picture and the part numbers (they are all labeled) and use the really nice little “key” to loosen and tighten these square screw-type things. I’ve assembled a lot of furniture and never saw an assembly system like this – I LOVED putting it together. Note that the “key” tool is unusual and you do NOT want to lose this. When I was done, I put my key into a plastic baggy and hung it on one of the cymbal hooks so it will always be handy if I want to adjust (raise, lower, pivot) a drum or cymbal. It took me about 30 minutes to assemble the stand. It only took that long because it is just a picture to assemble by, so I had to check and double check that everything was pointing the right direction. And, each “screw” had to be loosened before I could slide the pipe into place, then tightened. BE SURE you only tighten each piece a little bit, because when you are done you’ll want to move things around a bit. I tightened it fully when I was all done, though I’m still loosening things, moving them, and retightening to get it all just right so it fits me. Then it took me about 15 minutes to unpack and add on all of the actual drums and symbols. The one piece I had a little trouble with was the kick – the picture in the directions just wasn’t really clear to me. The stand screwed in higher on the drum than I realized at first (see picture). Once you see where it goes, it’s super easy. Pointy screws in top holes that you can barely see; flat screws in the holes with the gold metal inserts. Be sure to put the screws in that thin horizontal base support just a little at first, then tighten it after both are started (I tightened one side, then couldn’t get the other to line up, so had to unscrew it and do it again). It took just a few minutes to plug in all the cords – about an hour or so from start to finish and boom, I was drumming! Almost anyone could assemble this. My 14 year old doesn’t have a handy bone in his body, but a handy and inspired kid of 10 or up could build this themselves. Awesomeness • Looks super fun, high tech, compact but super playable. Easy to fold and push into a corner. • Easy to assemble. Took about an hour to assemble; about a half hour to work on settings and really be playing. • Easy to play and very quiet. • Easy to adjust the height of the entire stand or individual drum. I don’t have a throne yet, so I’ve been using a dining room chair or my keyboard bench, both are working fine. • Took me about 30 minutes to get a good feel for all the controls. There are 15 present drum “kits” (mixes of sounds for each drum) and then other nuances you can adjust for each individual drum. I’m using kit 8 because it seems to have the deepest kick drum sound. • Came with nice Velcro pieces to organize the plug ins and make sure it looks great and that you don’t get caught on a hanging cord. • I’m using tutorials on Drumeo on YouTube and already able to do a nice beat using the kick, snare, and high hat. Well, I can do it for about 4 bars before I mess up, but I’m still working on it. :) Things to be Aware of • Sounds very electronic. This isn’t really a bad thing, just know that it sounds different from traditional drums. Similar, but… I don’t know how to say it other than more electronic. But there is really good bounce in the heads, so it feels like when I’ve tried a traditional drum set, and you get good bounce with the sticks on the drums and cymbals. • Kick drum (bass) isn’t as deep as I’d like, even on deepest setting. But this may be a personal preference. • Balance pegs on pedals could scratch floor. Both pedals have this big, pointy screw with a spring on. The pointy end sits on the ground, I think so there is “give” to the pedal. It’s working great on my carpet, but be really careful about this on any hard floor because it could definitely scratch wood or laminate. If I had a scratchable surface, I’d put a rug or towel under the pedals. • Don’t loose that assembly key! I’m sure you can find a square socket like this at the hardware store, but better to put this one in a bag and hang it on the kit. I used a bag from some old sunglasses. I put the key and my drumsticks in the sunglasses bag and it hangs from one of the tightening knobs. Additional Notes It comes with two drumsticks that are well made, straight, wood mushroom head, and feel well balanced. But they are totally unfinished and a bit boring. I bought a set of fired hickory sticks online that I’m loving more, though I plan to stain and use washi tape to personalize the ones that came with the kit. Since the kit is electric, the stick itself doesn’t really change the sound as it might on a traditional kit, so it’s more about grip feel and aesthetics. You can play with your hands and get about the same sound – the magic of electronic. :) My 14 year old son was enjoying doing that yesterday, like they were bongos. There is a spot to plug in an additional crash symbol. But I’m already wondering how I can someone add a steel drum to this. :D Or some bongos. Overall, if you are looking to give drumming a try, or need a small kit that is easy to push off to the side, this is a fantastic choice in electronic drums that is very sturdy, looks good, and is a lot of fun to play for a kid or adult. ... show more

  • Nice design and comfortable
The media could not be loaded. I love the design and the setup of it. Sounds great. Only dislike would be the directions aren’t very descriptive basically have to put together by picture. Other than that definitely recommend!

This is amazing. My high school son is impressed that it sounds so good. He just set it up took about a little more than an hour. He can't wait to play.
