As a home school teacher, I need something to help me track assignments, grades, and other necessary information. Most important, there are seven daily slots for the different classes. As I don't normally have more than 5 (occasionally 6) classes, I like the extra slot or two when I wish to track something else (such as the book reports assigned for American Lit and World Lit). There is a combined slot for Sat/Sun, great for weekend assignments. All of the daily and weekly slots are large enough to fit anything I need to assign. In the front, I use the Daily Schedule to set up the weekly schedule. There are two of these, allowing me to make whatever changes are necessary for the second semester. A few pages later is a page titled "Supplementary Data, Special Tests." I use these to track the test scores. The next page, "Overview Planning," I use to jot overall notes about the different classes: Any trips I might schedule, or videos I find that may be helpful. The next page is a calendar, which I use to plot out the vacation days for the entire year. This doubles as an attendance tracker...any hours or dates missed can be written in red for easy visibility. ... show more

Been using these for years. Simple, straightforward, no frills...exactly how I want my plan book to be. Paper is smooth, erases easily. Cover is sturdy enough but lightweight. Spiral binding is quality.

As a veteran educator (36 years), I have always preferred a planner with the subjects/periods running vertically and the days of the week running horizontally across the top of the pages - especially for high school/college plans. You would think this wasn't such a big deal, but it is! AND, it's not always easy to find that combination in a reasonably priced planner w/ pages heavy enough to accommodate all of my colored pens and highlighting! (Gotta have SOME fun w/ those plans!) The price here on Amazon is much more affordable (and available) than in local teacher supply stores (IF they have this style) and I have had none of the issues with pages coming out or the notebook falling apart, as some have reported - and I stuff mine full of all those handouts from the office and the ones for the students, etc. [One solution is to simply remove the wiring and put your planner in a small binder, but I've not found it necessary the 2-3 years I've been ordering from here.] I am old-school enough that I would still rather have the green-tinted pages, but the contrast in this particular planner is actually fine. It’s perfect for light planning and I agree with another comment that you should get it with one more period than needed for after school or other things that need to be done that day. The cover is not as sturdy as I would like, but it’s so inexpensive that I think it’s okay and am considering buying a cover slip to protect it as I carry it to and from school. ... show more

I love this planner because it gives me enough space to plan out 7 periods/blocks of time and the pages are visually clear and easy to use. It's a simple planner that's durable and not bulky or heavy. I've been using it for the last few years. The only thing that I wish it had would be a few more extra pages for record keeping/"supplementary data" (It only came with two sheets). But if you prefer to have that part electronically, then this teacher planner is for you. ... show more
