This is the first time that I have purchased this brand of coffee. I am going to be having a get-together in my home, where I will have more than 20 guests and I will be setting up a "coffee station" in the kitchen where people will be able to help themselves throughout the day. I happened to spy this excellent purchase on sale, at a remarkably reasonable price, with next day delivery! It was well packaged (a box, within a box). The date of manufacture and expiration are clearly marked on the box. My pods are fresh, and do not expire for 9 months. Yes, within the box itself there is no sort of attempt at organization. The pods are simply put into a box, and lay in a haphazard manner. So what? It doesn’t affect the quality. I did not have one single pod that was broken or misshapen. I did not open the box to find any problems whatsoever. These French roast coffee pods by Solimo work exactly as one would expect and I have had absolutely no difficulty in utilizing them. The lid remains in place throughout the coffee brewing process, my machine punctured the lid dead center. The machine also correctly makes the appropriate hole in the bottom of the pod in the appropriate place. (I have enclosed several photos so folks can get a good close up view of the product). The flavor of this French Roast coffee is good. It is not the best I've ever had; it is not extraordinary. It does however produce a dark smoky satisfying cup. Were I not having guests, I would not have purchased 100 of these pods, but they are the perfect solution for my get-together. Finally, I would be remiss if I did not mention that at this price per cup, for French Roast of this quality, this is quite a bargain. Recommended✅

I use a CHULUX machine that's compatible with Nespresso Original pods, and I’ve been looking for a more affordable alternative to the official Nespresso Lungo capsules. I found these and decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, I was disappointed when brewing them as a Lungo. The taste was weak and watery—more like a diluted Keurig coffee than a true Nespresso experience. While the caffeine content is definitely there, the flavor just didn’t hold up in a longer brew. However, when I used the same pod to make a standard Espresso shot, the result was excellent. Full-bodied, smooth, and exactly what I was hoping for. I now brew it as an Espresso and simply add hot water if I want a longer drink. That workaround works perfectly. The price is great, which makes this a good budget option overall. My only other issue is that you have to buy a large quantity—50 pods at once—which is a bit much if you're unsure about the taste. Bottom line: Not suitable as a Lungo, but makes a solid Espresso. Worth it for the price, so I’m giving it 4 stars.

I am a Starbucks snob from way back. I ordered the Amazon brand k-cups, there are 3 different flavors, Colombian, French Roast and Dark Roast. I am very pleased and excited about the coffee. It is very good and I will be reordering. The price is excellent!

Lavazza Gran Selezione REPLACEMENT: YES For everyone looking to replace Lavazza Gran Selezione, give this a try. I really liked the Lavazza Gran Selezione coffee. I have countless boxes of coffee trying to find a replacement. This coffee is like Lavazza Gran Selezione in that it is not bitter at all and is in fact very, very smooth. It does not have the hint of chocolate taste like Lavazza Gran Selezione, but it make up for that by tasting very "clean and fresh". AND it is very enjoyable black. This is my family's new coffee.

I have ordered this brand before and have liked the taste and convenience . This last box however contained some damaged pods. A lot of coffee grounds spilled all over. The box itself is intact, no dent or damage. Because it had been more the 30 days since delivery I'm not able to return it. It's a pain having to clean each pod. I wonder if this is a one off or if the factory has quality control problem. I will probably buy it again but will make sure to inspect the contents right away.

The Solimo brand k-cup is great for the price! They arrived undamaged with no issues, and the seals were intact. I buy it to stock my office, and the team likes them too. I've heard that some people complain about the flavor being weak, but I did not have that experience myself. The brew is fairly bold. This is something that I will buy again.

We normally use Peet's coffee pods, but they are brutally expensive. So we gave these Colombian pods a try. They work in the machine with no issues. The taste is not bad. It's certainly not as rich and robust as Peet's, but it's perfectly drinkable. The caffeine kick is very good. When we brew it, we do press the "Strong" button to squeeze out more flavor, and that seems to make a decent 8-ounce cup. I will order more of these because we don't always want a super-strong cup of coffee. These are good for your second cup or for an afternoon coffee. Good way to save some money on coffee! We are excited to try the darker blends. Update: We've now tried the Dark Roast blend and it's very good. This is the one we will buy going forward.
